The Blood Establishes A New Covenant

I have discovered you can get your physical body operating right.But,your Heart ( stops) ,but

Matthew;26;29 “29 But I tell you, from now on I will never drink of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in the kingdom of my Father.””

The word says it was in the evening when Jesus sat down with the 12.That Means that everybody that was a part of His circle was there at communion.

Thought: It’s Takes some of us back ,actually,Remembering the Passover gather to gather remembering a time in Isreal history When they were remembering a time when they were slaves .

They were Given Instruction:to take Lambs Blood and Paint the Top and the sides of the door post and splash a little down on the threshold so when the death angel came by any home that he saw the blood on top and the sides he would pass on by.,and so when the death angel came He pass by all of Israelites homes that had the blood on the door post he would pass on by.And went to the home of those who did not have blood on the door post.

There is power in the blood

It was a marker it set aside that household to be different from the rest of the household’s ,That blood was a indication that in that house were people of faith. There were people there that believed in the power and the existence of a sovereign God They believed that if they put the blood on there door post they didn’t have to see a death angel coming in. I am here today saying when you put the blood of Jesus over you,there is power in the blood.

It was during this participation of this ritual that Jesus gather with his disciples and instituted that night what we call the Lord’s Supper ,Jesus and his disciples break bread and dranked from the cup.The breaking and sharing of the bread symbolize and represented the body of Jesus and the fruit of the vine ,the cup symbolizes the blood of Jesus. The blood and it significant is elaborated on by Jesus in this passion in Matthew.

I want to touch on two Points and I will be Finished.

In Verse 28 He tells us two things .

Two things he tells us about the blood

The blood Establishes A New Covenant,by the way there were a multiplicity of Covenants in the Old Testament . Jesus came along and said I am going to replace them with a New Covenant .God says I am going to establish a New Covenant

When Jesus came along he was more concerned with the condition of your (Heart ) rather than the condition of your body .

Let me break this down just a little bit .While you are Focusing on the behavior of church people,criticizing whether they dot their I ‘s and cross their T’s . We will condemn them to Hell for one mistake.

But God is saying if your body is operating right .But your Heart will still not be right ,Jesus is saying if I get your Heart right your body will follow.Take pride when God cut your Heart open and give’s you a heart of Flesh.

When he give’s you the capacity to love people unconditionally

When you can go the second mile of the way

That’s what is important to God the condition of your Heart.

When you can forgive other people

Differents in the Old and New Testament

Old Testament:

Exodus:12:2 “2 “This month will be the beginning of months; it will be for you the first of the months of the year.”

Exodus:12: 8 “8 And they will eat the meat on this night; they will eat it fire-roasted and with unleavened bread on bitter herbs.”

Exodus:12:9 “9 You must not eat any of it raw or boiled, boiled in the water, but rather roasted with fire, its head with its legs and with its inner parts.”

Exodus:12:10 “10 And you must not leave any of it until morning; anything left from it until morning you must burn in the fire.”

Hebrews:10:20 “20 by the new and living way which he inaugurated for us through the curtain, that is, his flesh,”

Jesus is The High Priest.

Eze:36:25 “25 And I will sprinkle on you pure water, and you will be clean from all of your uncleanness, and I will cleanse you from all of your idols.”

eze:36;26 “26 And I will give a new heart to you, and a new spirit I will give into your inner parts, and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh, and I will give to you a heart of flesh.”

The Blood Erases Our Sins.:

When he shedded His Blood on Calary Hill and then took it to the Holey of holy’s and sprinkled it on the throne of God and all of our sins were washed away.
