δέησις or requests here, same translations esv and Kjv supplications, is the same word used in ...
Philippians 4:6 CSB
Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
At all times means every situation you meet through out the day. Order your life around God’s desires and teachings so that your very life becomes a prayer. You don't have to isolate yourself form other people and from daily work in order to pray constantly. You can pray in conversation and at work.
Some of the monks at Mount Athos pray at all times.
Prayer keeps us alert. True Prayer keeps us awake as to what is going on around us. KJV translates this as watching.
A lot of times prayer is the only thing we really can do and yet a lot of times prayer is the very last thing that we end up doing.

all kinds of prayers and requests suggests the thoroughness and intensity of their praying

Lets count how many times the word “all” is used in this verse.
Think about the kind of situation that Paul finds himself in.
Paul does not pray to get our of jail or that God would help him with his thorn in the flesh as he done in other passages. Notice Paul prays for boldness here. If Paul needed boldness its probably ok for Ben Hardee to ask for some.
If you are going to put the armor on as a soldier of the cross you are going to need to be bold. soldiers who are not bold are a liability.
Revelation 21:8 CSB
But the cowards, faithless, detestable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars—their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
God does not what us to be cowards, fearfully, or timid
in a sense he also ask for wisdom.
For Paul it was always all about the proclamation of the Gospel.
Wear the armor to your work place.
I called a master electrician to help me wire a ballast at the last church.
the plummer and the pipe, it is not just you and the pipe or you and work. Talk to Him. and you will notice a bunch of coincidence. God is with you. It was never just you and the pipe. Gods was always there. That is what it mean to put on the whole armor of God.
You get dressed the right way through prayer.
You don’t want to put your shoes on backwards and your belt of truth missing 2 loops, and your breastplate inside out.
Do you pray that God will help you to share the gospel at work.
Paul was in prison and yet he could speak the gospel. You can speak the gospel boldly where-ever you find yourself.
The Sprit will give you this. It is not our own wisdom and elegance or strength but Gods. That is why we pray in the Spirit.
Roman 8:26-27
Romans 8:26–27 CSB
In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because he intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
What city was Paul in? Rome. Think of all the ambassadors who came to that great city to promote their kingdoms. Paul realized that he was also there as an ambassador but as one from a different kingdom a heavenly kingdom. He represented the King of King. At your work you are exactly that. You are a liaison of the King of Kings.
