“Get rid of the noise”
23“And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,24 He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth.
And they laughed him to scorn.

But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.

Introduction
Noise can do a lot of things depending on the type of noise it is.
Some noise can distract us, some noise can excite us.
Some noise can annoy us, noise if loud enough can even frighten us.
However, the noise that I’m talking about is spiritual noise that comes to distract us and place fear in our hearts.
The NBA or sports event you will often hear the announcer say make some noise, Now during this crisisis they have fake noises
Why, because they understands that the noise will distract the opponent.
Free throw line in Basketball the crowd make noise.
When kicking a field goal in football they make noise.
The athletes have to get rid of the noise in their mind and remain focused on their goal.
An athlete brain is quieter
Why, because if the athlete focused on the noise instead of the assignment he will miss the mark or his goal.
My brothers How many can agree that just as the fans makes noise in the arena to distract, the enemy bring spiritual noise in our life to distract us.
The enemy bring spiritual noise to frustrate us, the enemy bring spiritual noise of fear to frighten us.
I’m not talking about regular noise that you hear with your ear.
However, I’m talking about noise that you feel in your spirit.
It’s important that we understand that we must get rid of the noise, before God can do a work in our life.
Jesus got rid of the noise before he perform the miracle.
Likewise we must get rid of the noise in our lives
The text
We find here a very disturbing scene, we find a young lady who was once sick now dead according to those present in the house.
This young lady was not just any young lady but she was from a very prominent and rich family Her father was a rich ruler.
Her father had authority in this town, he had workers that would ask how high shen he said jump.
Her father could have anything he wanted all he has to do was say the word.
However, my brothers and sisters here we find her father in a situation when his wealth and his money could not get him out of.
His statues and his authority could not get him out of.
Can you imagine the town seeing the most powerful man in the town powerless.
So in a sense this whole town was shaken up at the fact that the Kings daughter had died.
This King I’m sure had heard of Jesus.
However, this particular situation pushed him to get in touch with Jesus (we all had that moment that made us reach Jesus)
We find earlier the scripture that He meets Jesus in the middle of the crowd.
His daughter was sick at this time.
While the ruler was speaking Jesus was interrupted by a women,,,,who was sick(y’all know her ) she had a issue of blood
So Jesus heals this women and continues to proceed to Jairus house.
When he gets to the house he finds chaos,
Because by now the rulers daughter had died.
There is chaos at Jairus house,
There is a lot of noise in the house
Matthew, Mark & Luke are considered synoptic Gospels meaning that they all tell the same story from different views
Luke 8: 52
Describe the crowd as wailing and weeping
Matthew explains that when Jesus went into the house there was Minstrels(Instrument) playing and loud noise.
Jewish funerals required flute players, the family, friends of the family were out bursting with grief and wailing cries
Either way it was a lot of noise.
It was a lot going on.
They thought that Jesus had gotten there to late because they said she was dead.
But I believe somebody can testify to the fact that “He may not come when you want him too but he will be there right in time”.
“When it’s too late for us.
It’s just right for God”
He tells them that the girl is not dead but rather sleep-
They begin to laugh~more noise
(What is that you have laughed at)
What vision God gave you that seamed unreachable and now your laughing
What sickness has God said he will heal and now your laughing)
God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think~
After they laughed Jesus finally got rid of the noise when he kicked them out~
The text said he made place.....in other words he made room.
Before he entered the noise had to go.
Sometimes even in our own lives we have to make room.
We have remove somethings..in order for him to come in..
He waits for somethings to get gone so he can get going
The song writer said I will make room for you,
He says whatever it is that’s taking place of Jesus in our lives we can move that over.
Jesus here understood that somethings had to go.
That he had to remind them.
The only ones He kept in the room, was the mother, the father , Peter, James and John (The believers)
Surrounded with those who believe
He grab the girl by her right hand and the girl spirit went back into her body.
The question I have for you today is what’s the noise that you need to kick out that’s stopping you from getting your breakthrough,what’s the noise you need to get rid of that’s stopping you from your miracle~
There are several different ways we can have noise in our lives.
Point 1
As we see in the text
People can come with us with noise~
The text said the people came with noise because they had given up hope they where planning a funeral~
Jesus responds that she is sleep and they begin to laugh~
Jesus got rid of the noise~ he had them leave out of the room-
Truth is told sometimes the people in our life can be the noise and often times in order for us to get to where God wants us to be we have to tell some people to leave the room for a minute.
ITs not that he had anything against the ones who were in the room.
However, he didn’t want to be around those who did not believe God to do the impossible.
Those who did not believe in him.
That did not have confidence that he was who he said he was.
That he could do what he said he could do.
Once he proved them wrong then he invited them back in.
Sometimes you have to take a break from people who don’t believe in you, from people who laugh at your dreams and the vision that God has placed on your life.
I still like you but I need to get rid of the noise.
I’ll connect with you after God getting through doing what he has to do.
However, Now I need to spend sometime with God.
Luke gospel declares that the only people that he let stay in the room was Peter, John, James, the father of the child and the mother of the child.
He needed to be around those who believe.
He needed to be around those who were going to pray with him and not on him.
He needed to be around those who knew how to get a prayer through.
When your going through something you dont need to be around those who are going to talk about you.
However you need to be around those who can get a prayer through.
Those who are going to pray with you and not on you.
