2 Corinthians 5:17-21

Fall Sports is over Winter sports or off season.

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

What does a football Player look like?

What does a Soft ball player look like?

What doe a basket ball player look like?

What would it look like for a softball or Football players to come out and try to play basketball?

It’s the same thing when we commit our live to Christ but we still act the same as we did before.

When you change sports do you have a new Job?

We have a new job when we give our life to Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:18 “All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;”
You belong to a new family and you have a new Job.
help others come to know Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:19 “that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.”
When you go to a basketball game either as a Athlete or fan you represent Who? Merritt School
2 Corinthians 5:20 “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We plead on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”
When you walk the halls of the school,
Set in class
set on the court for practice or a game.
walk into the stands to cheer you are ambassadors for Merritt School but most importantly ambassadors of Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:21 “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
This is the Gospel - Good news this is what you can share.
