Theme: The way that God made pure communion between husband and wife, it was a picture of what He was going to do in Christ for us. God loves His bride, the church, but He wants His bride to turn around and love Him too. Idolatry comes in and ends up suffocating that love and destroys us. We really have to be careful and vigilant about what kinds of idols and lovers are calling to us in our own marriage to God.
