Leadership Training 11/12/2022
Okay. Alright. Welcome to the November meeting at guess we haven't really been together since Since May of last year last year. Yeah, I haven't been together since May. So just wanted to share some things with you about leadership and hopefully we can all go lane from one another and I guess we want to start by asking. Do y'all got mics on your bench, your puce?
Is your mic there? No, Mike's there Yeah, I want to get some Mike's put on all the fuse.
Need two more.
Yes, sir, praise God. Okay.
Okay, when I tell him that hold a color up, so they can see what colors they are at that one in.
Okay, good to go. Good to go. All right, what do you think anybody want to share? What you think leadership is?
Do nearby sit there. Silent
You should Mike please cuz you're recording.
Silence isn't golden here.
So what what what's the leadership to you? You know, your leaders me, come on your microphone so we can hear you if we got to hear you.
To lead. To bead. Anybody else? Tule develop leave develop an example. She left something for y'all didn't she?
I mean, come on. Guidance Direction. Guidance Direction. Okay, do you need to know where you're going?
H a l e, a good follower as well as a leader Dependable. Anybody else
Cassia County accountability leadership starts with you. Are you okay? so you, you
All right. Alright, so that's anybody else got anything to say about leadership? Alright, let's consider this. How about leadership, helping others with life challenges will result in you having success and happiness. Because leaders. Really help others face their life challenges. And it's not only blesses the other person, but it blesses, the leader. This is why when you have children, you find yourself getting involved in their lives. When you have grandchildren, you find yourself getting involved in their lives, you have great grandchildren, you find yourself being involved in their lives, why? Because you're helping them face life challenges. And what the result is is you having success and happiness, because you help somebody else. And even if you don't have children, when you find yourself help, when your brother is or your sisters or your family members, you're doing the same thing because you wonder why, why they always come to me. Cuz you're at later, go to somebody that don't know what's going on or doesn't have the solution you go to someone that has solution. So helping others face, life challenges people have life challenges but it results in you having success and happiness and that's what happens when they go through. They run into a roadblock guess who they call on? They calling you. When you get him out of that one, guess what happens? They find another roadblock and who they call on, or if they don't call on you, they kind of him up around. You know, what do you think? What do you think? And that's what happens. That's why sometimes we look at life and look at situations but Ministry leadership is like a marriage. Because that's what Ministry leadership is. Like I know some people don't want to be married. Ministry. Leadership is like a marriage, you have courtships and you may have been in church before you another church where you came at KLCC and you got to deal with that because that courtship apparently didn't go. Well, so the courtship ended and you find yourself here Kingdom life, but you need to remember this to be successful, really successful anywhere. This is what's going to have to take place even here Kingdom Life. you've got to come to the point where you're married to the ministry and the church, you're with You got to be married to the ministry in the church. You're with, if you're not married to it, it's going to cause a lot of issues. And deal with this right now. Unless you're married, you cannot really be successful. People want to be on the perimeter but, you know, so if you should do this yet, that's why I don't tell people doing marriage cuz I don't know about your man. I got a hard enough time with mine. So you people say what you want to do this, I wouldn't take that. Guess what? You won't be married, you just got a courtship going on. If you can find yourself Alone Again Naturally because you don't get it. But you must be married. To have a real relationship with Ministry and Leadership whether youth want to face it or not. When you have children do you have a courtship with your kids? You really married to them. You you have this relationship where when they face challenges they faced situations you help them guy to help guide them through those situations. Why? Because when you really think about this real success in any job is more than money. When you have a job of raising a family, you have a job of people that are depending on you, brothers and sisters, whoever they might be cousins relatives. You find yourself. It's not about money. Because you've got to understand real success is not about money in life, you can get money anywhere. You can get money anywhere and you can get a good deal anywhere, but you can get the things that marriage offers when you're married to a Ministry, this is what happens with people. When you're married to Adventure, you really in it, you're part of it. You want to see it succeed, you want to see it become grow and develop, that means that you got to put more in it. Then somebody else might put it at and you've got to understand something else. You can get many things that marriage offers anywhere, but you can't get married. You didn't get something that looks like it. You can buy something on the corner or stuff like that, but it's still not marriage. Why? Because marriage is something more. When you're married to a Ministry, you're married to your purpose, you're married to your life assignment. It's something more. Because you got to understand. You cannot Court a church. Either you're in it. For the long haul or you're not in it and too many times people try to court a church. They just kind of want to snuggle I don't want to see what's going on. I just want to they looking at it from the outside so you got to come on in because once you come into it Then you realize this that you will die. For that. Look you know that look you get when you get married a girl, you just stole my heart, my liver, my quiver, everything else, and all that stuff. And then after you get home and get a sitter, I do's and everybody else sat there and said for better for worse and then Here Comes something. Worse Pops at, wait a minute. Now that was just what they say. They told me to say that. Did you really mean it? Don't say it. Don't say obey in your marriage, ceremony. Because people have this mindset of what marriage is, but marriage. You got to die for the eyes that you commit to, you got a die for that. Look then that person that you think my wife. Come on. Look at me.
See there. You think she stole my head when I was young? And she said, God, look at this big head. But she got herself a big head at met. It's the same way when you look at church. It's like what are you going to live with? Oh man, I'm going to live with him. I'm going to live with these people. Yeah, that's why we come in here. We actually live with one another and it's called leadership. And we don't get to pick and choose and we're here to be leaders and you got to be nice to him. You got to talk nice to them and then she says, will you don't talk to other people that way? I said no, cuz I can't. But you realize that what are you going to live with is part of it? And what are you going to be when you're later because you're married, you're part of what's going on here and then not only that Where are you going to? What what are you going to live for? You going to live for the good of your brothers and sisters. We live for the good of our children. And when we think about our children and how they are, and what all they do and and let's face it. Sometimes children of like that your pet use the people to say, all, I love my dog. I love my goldfish or whatever, but that go fishing, but you keep beating me. I'll just hang around you. Now, you don't feed me on my, have to go somewhere else because they understand pets, move on. And guess what? Your kids move on and people move on, even in churches and Leadership and you want them to be able to progress in their life and go forward. But you gotta understand this, your two things you can live for as leaders. You can live and move as if the sunrises and sunsets on you. Oh, I'm this leader in our church and I do this. You strut around to test all poked out, and, or you can live for yourself.
Or you can live your life for God. And that's what it comes down to it and Leadership. You live it for yourself or God. Lets it. Who is the authority figure in your life? You or God. You didn't make the choice. Because understand something God does not solve your problems.
But God does our father, he gives you a fresh set of problems.
He does not solve your problems. You get the choice. You get to live for God. I'm going to pray that I'm going to sing. I'm going to hum, I'm going to try not to say anything at first when I go to the situation. Why? Because you got to understand something God is not in the business of solving my problems. Everything we need is right here. He gives us through Holy Spirit to know what we should be doing with our lives. And he tells us this little burst that some people want to Flinch at That you're always pray. And not faint. And why do people faint? Because so many people, they see you as a leader and they want to live on your prayers.
People will live on your prayers. Pray for me, pray for me. Pray for me, and God says, they're not solving their problems. I can't, I just have to give him some more. Here's some more. And they go from one issue to another issue to another and they got all the stuff going on in life, because they refused to become a leader.
Leadership is for everybody is not just for select few. Even a Ministry. People want you to tell him that. I don't tell people, you know, to believe what I believe. I don't tell people to believe because I believe, but you've got to understand, you've got to know what you're going to live your life in. What are you going to live your life in in faith with the word of God and Faith with what father has prescribed and know what you're going to live with? What are you going to live with their struggles, in life? Their struggles and everything? So get over, you got to become a leader, you got to go deep. You've got to go deep because things aren't what people think it is supposed to be happy. Go lucky, it's not happy. Go lucky all the time at 4. Come on you think you? Look at your kids some time and you want to know what are they thinking and you said you just want to slap me upside the head, but you can't do that cuz you go to jail now. And then you got to ask yourself, what are you going to live for? So we're going to live with. What are you going to live with her? Or you going to live your life in? And what are you going to look like for? As Leaders, you're constantly dealing with situations and circumstances. You're constantly saying I'm not going to again, going back to the line that people tell you. I'm not going to, I wouldn't take that. I wouldn't take shut up. You take more stuff than, you know you don't want to take, what's going to help you. Because father is going to Think about this. When David? When David came? Add Ziploc and their wives, and the kids and all the stuff was gone and they were ready to Stone David and kill him. The Bible says that your leader in the first thing, David did the Bible says he inquired of the Lord
Why don't people inquire of the Lord? Because you become their go-to solution. And they go to you because so they can get there quicker than I can know. We can't get there quicker than you can say. We've learned in life, what we will live with what we live for. And you know what, we're going to do in situations. We learn how to navigate And stay the course with Holy Spirit, as father leads us. And then he allows us to write a book was called stumbles to success you stumbling to the solution. You don't always know. And when you still want a solution boy, you feel good. But people think you know you have this thing about you that you can, I know that God hears me when I pray I'm very persuaded of that because the startup versus a Lord, forgive me.
What forgive me? So I don't nothing there. So nobody can jump up in my face in that little imps. Can't jump on the same to you. They did this, they did work. Forgive me. Very simplistic. But know, if he's going to live your life for your sets for yourself, if you're going to live your life for yourself, then you have to live with the consequences of you got to live for God, then you don't want to straddle the fence because this is what happens in people's lives. They don't know where they want to live for themselves, where they want to live for God. In one day, they're out the next day. They're happy one day. They're set it all works together because why you know, when we first came in the church do you know what they used to tell us? Think about it. There's a state that least get us to quits. Quit drinking quit smoking. Quit. Swearing. Quit gambling. Learn to hate sin. Oh, come on. Y'all know, as well as I do. If you were a rank Center, you didn't need any lessons to be a good Center. It just came naturally and people. I like, I had to have a license to be a. You don't need no lessons to be a sinner. It just comes very naturally because people think it's something that, you know, oh, oh, you just got to quit people, try to quit. Drinking, quit smoking, quit cussing. Quit gambling, and move on with your life, Dr. Monroe said it this way. It shouldn't have been there anyway. And then, especially I, thank God for saving me sanctify, me, feeling with the Holy Ghost. I don't smoke. I don't get over yourself. But makes work a testimony testimony. So and then they used to tell us when you came to church just do your best. How many of us really tried it to our best? Come on. Just try to do your best baby, just try to do your best at the stuff. That ain't what it is because nobody really tries to do their best in life. People try to get by by doing as little So when you say, just do your best, And if you got to figure if they would try a little harder or do a little bit more, they could but guess what they want to do it. You tell family and friends what do your best and it's too hard. How can do your best? Be too hard and as Leaders we've got to understand we have all these religious platitudes that you know people used to tell us so you're going to hell and style and this not the other and if but guess and then then they take and don't be surprised who you meet there. You heard all this stuff that people deal with in religious circles and it's crazy. Because you've got to understand something father is calling each and every believer receiver to himself. To grow up. He said it in a fission C says that you may grow up in him who his head. Grow up in him. Who is head? Grow up in him, who is hit? That's grow up time. But nobody wants to upset the apple cart of Life, the app requires that people deal with. And then, you know, they bring up front and that that's the one that's like the Magic Touch. We're going to give him the right hand of Fellowship, what's in your right hand? At the right hand of fellowship. And then once they gave you the right hand of Fellowship, they sent it to the nearest, the offering plate over there now. So you get the right hand of Fellowship, you go to the offer and fight, why, but God wants you to be honest. Leaders have got to be honest. Why? Because it boils down to this God is God, the Bible is true, and people got to take it or leave it. It's just that simple. And as leaders, We've got to be willing to understand when we deal with people when people come into our lives. Look, you got to make a choice, you can get married and be with us. And what a God is, a God has called us to do, or you just want to coerce him. You want to see it from the outside and find out what's wrong because that's why people find themselves in situations where they live together, and then, it's crazy. And that, and that's why I look sometimes I look at some of these situations now. And when I talked about a gay marriage and things like that, will guess what? Now they got something they call Gay divorce. Because they're doing the same thing. Everybody else is doing nothing. There is there is no difference. You can't try something out. You've got to either be committed to it or not and this is what's happening in our society. They've come to a mindset that I don't want to Holy commit. You going to? Holy commit to Something in life. You're going to be married to, especially with Ministry in your relationship with God, you better understand something. You've got to be willing to take care of all. The people that God sends your way, you don't get to pick and choose any other work in the restaurant. Food Service. See that's good. That's why I tell people don't mistreat your servers. Don't complain too loud about the cook who's cooking your food? Just graciously what you ask him to please. Take this in kind of make it a little more done, you say it gracefully because they know how to burn it.
All right, give me some some samba music.
See the mindset of people today is everybody wants to relax and take it easy. They don't want to go that extra mile, even leaders. You got understand it, you're a leader. You got to come to a place of
Precision. And what it is, you're doing, you got to want to be the very best at what it is you're doing. because if you don't, you'll find yourself, relaxing, slowing down, take it, easy, pace yourself, and that people, people people tell you this, you need to slow down and take it easy. You're doing too much. And then the next five minutes could you do this? Here they come asking you to do something for them, but they don't want you but they're telling you this. So you need to take some time and do this, and rest, and relax and then they want it. Want you to do something.
And it's so amazing. See because you never will be able to slow down and take it easy and pace yourself cuz guess what? People won't let you.
Nor will the scripture. Let you look and Loop 12. Luke chapter 12, 43 through 48.
Seafin father has called us to leadership.
Then father gives us to know in the New Living testament.
Luke 12. 43 to 48.
Okay, so you got the fastest finger.
Alright, someone want to read that, please.
let someone who has then LT the New Living Testament, Luke 12,
You want to use your phone please so they can catch it.
Turner versus 43.
It will be good.
Okay, you can read it, okay.
oh, Okay, and I'll T New Living Testament. All right? Want to read it. It will be good, it will be good for chapter 12. First 43. 12 + 43/12. + 43.
What my glasses?
Okay, go ahead. You got the screen will read it. Yeah, it's phone. Get your mic.
Testing. Dover, little bit. I'm sorry my head to know, I forgot.
If the master Returns the master returns and what he has done a good job, he wants to know if it finds that the servant has done a good job, say good job.
The Mask returns and finds us doing a good job, there will be a reward. All right.
I tell you, the truth will put that servant in charge of all. He owned all he, you know, when I was at lingo and Bishop used to go away and then he would leave me in charge when he went on vacation after convocation, but I knew one thing, I knew the key, the key was Don't think you were in charge.
That was the key. You're there, you've been given the authority, he's going away, but know this that you're not really in charge read on.
Here it is. But what if the sermon thinks I won't be back for a while because beating the other servants and
That's what can happen. Because he let us mind go to a place where he actually thought he was the master, all right? But
it's 4546.
Alright, Master will return unannounced and unexpected and unexpected. And what station with the with the Unfaithful. I'm trying to figure out who's going to cut him into pieces and pieces. That's what I'm going to do that. Cut him in pieces and Vanishing with the Unfaithful, all right? And 47.
And a servant who knows what the master one can carry out those instructions.
And not prepared to carry out instructions of God because you forgot understand. Again, I share with you. Leadership is so important, your children are a Ministry, your grandchildren are Ministry. Your great-grandchildren are Ministry and yet, you can be a part of this ministry. Because you got to understand it's about all of us, carrying out and following father's instructions. God gives us instructions on what it is. We're to do how weird to live. And when he gives us those instructions, here's here's 48. Now, you need to capture this read on.
48.
He's working it. But someone who does not know, someone who does not know, and then does something wrong do nephew, don't know. And it does something wrong, you will only be punished lightly much will be required in return.
Someone has been entrusted with much more will be required. The reason your leader. It's because you've learned the lesson, much known, much required. How can? She had this, we're helping you have that because much known much as required. God, has graced and blessed, but it requires much more of my life than he does of your why because you understood I am a leader. And got to understand something else. People call themselves and L and you can have a title, you can have a position and you can have the endowment. But unless you're willing to pay the price
Those things mean nothing. People aren't willing to pay the price. You have chosen to pay the price of leadership and paying the price of leadership is not about. Being a leader is not have the title position or endowment but you're saying I'm willing to pay the price
And L got to also understand something about the pitfalls of overextension because leaders, sometimes I get the Superman or Superwoman complex, they get their Cable ONE. Late, jump out a window, and I forgot I'm not flying today. So, you must recognize a leader. Must deal with the reality that he or she must go. Here's a cat leaders, understand where you. You got to go to 2nd mile. When you're a leader, you got to go to Second Mile, I've got to find a solution. I've got to make this thing work because I'm a leader.
Understand that when you're a leader, you often have to go the second mile. because as L, how many of you can, I used an allergy sometimes of When someone tells your child to take the trash out. How can you tell your child take the trash out and I'll send you go outside and trash is blowing everywhere. Cuz what did they do?
They just took the trash out. You didn't, you didn't show them out to take the trash out, you didn't instruct them out to take the trash out. You just said take the trash out c, l. Have a sense of responsibility that only comes to a few leaders. A lot of leaders don't understand this. See if you're going to lead in your community leaving your home lead in a church, you've got to be the one carrying the load. And you get to carry the load. Why because leaders must be about rowing. Where you are today, what it is? You know. United printing in the machine. I started out on this, is this a simple press, but I went from that simple press. They said, okay, we need you to do this now and they put you on this machine and you got to kind of figure out how to make this machine work. And then they take it from that machine. We got this new machine, we're going to put you on this machine. So you've got to take what you've learned and acclimated with what you are doing now. And then take what you're doing now to the next level because they all operate on the same principle. And this is why it's important for us to understand, you can't stop growing. Leaders cannot stop growing. You can't, you can't. How can I said you can't allow yourself to relax the stop along the way. You've got to understand something. We're more as built with more known more is required. People are paying you on a job or anything to be where you are for 50 years. so when I was on the job, makes it here, this machine that, okay, here this machine here and you know the one thing I told myself when I was in school I never wanted to run a machine And lo and behold. Thirty-some years. I ran. I said, I told myself I didn't want to run any kind of machine. I hated shop. I had a Woodshop. They made to take it metal shop. I hate it plastic shop. I never wanted to work with any kind of machines and I said, I'm going to use my head. And what did I wind up doing getting ink on my hands? My fingernails.
Because I told God, I don't want to run machines. God has a sense of humor so you realize you have got to learn to do and go that extra mile. If that my family helped us by our house. Cars, be able to go on vacation. So, can't complain because as a leader you got to keep growing. You got to keep growing and leaders understand. There are things they called Growing Pains. If you're not willing to push yourself to wear, whatever it is you're doing in life. I told you about my boss when he said to me that time I just started in the apartment, we were working overtime and I had a problem and he told me since I'm only going to show you this once, And I said, you ain't got to worry about it. You I will never ask you again. And I learned how to do it. I learn how to do it, right? And I train other people how to do it, simply because this is what it's about. You've got to master what it is that you're doing that. You can instruct and help someone else grow and become who they're to be. It's not just about us. It's about those who follow us. I mean, it's so amazing.
You know, so amazing. When I look at Destiny back there with German and stuff like that, and what she does and how she does it. And, you know, and then she Pops from back. There she goes downstairs cuz I never wanted to work in the office. No, no, no, but she doesn't, she doesn't willing, and she is learning some things. Why? Because they're going to help her later in life because she's chosen to be later. Leilani, same thing, can you go down? Leilani went down so you can learn stuff. She went to Destiny, went back there, doing whatever David doing in inventory, whatever stuff that is Now that's tough. Why? Because they took the opportunity to learn to be a leader and when you do that, you got to understand something else. Growth comes through failure. You don't grow if you don't fail. But you got a fail to grow. And if you're afraid of failing and you can't be afraid of failing, you do you want to grow and you grow that way. Why you learn from your failures? Yeah you're not a failure yourself there. Just was a situation where it was a little struggle but now I have learned how to do that. I share that these words. Grant me the wisdom to gather the necessary facts to add to the knowledge that already have that the understanding that is a, my spirit might be released. You'll understand it. If you try, you won't get it. If you don't try, you won't get it if you don't get over that hurdle, you know. It's one of the biggest things when we were kids. You know, how you learn how to jump alleys? You jump a lady. Hit that curve and you slide and hit your head. Then you know, you got to get more Lift It Go the Distance cuz if you hit the curb again, you hit your head again. And that's how we learn how to jump alleys. And people think it's crazy, but you learn not to hit the curb, you learn out of porches. Porches, not a real house. Is he hot one porch to the next forged and exports? And then the last porch, big drop. And you learn how to land it seems strange but that's what we did for fun in the city. That's how we live in the city. You learn how to jump Palace. Jump. Porches. People be yelling and screaming. Get off my porch, porch. Why it's do failure. You know, there was this young man, he had this old preacher in the Asus old preacher, how did you become successful? Was it by good judgment. The old preacher answered. No, it was poor judgment. That's how you become a good preacher, you mess up. You realize that I didn't do that right before judgement and you learn from that. Few leaders have times when they make tremendous sacrifices each and every one of you. You made tremendous sacrifice everyone. Chief Elder was going to Jersey after her husband passed, and she was trying to help the church in Jersey and she's been her own money going there every week to help the church in Jersey, but Church in Jersey, they just they had the whole building almost done. But they couldn't come to an agreement and I'm wondering if I might have a never completed that church building because you got it almost done, big nice, new building, everything almost done and they just couldn't pull it together to finish. The last steps seem leaders are learning to live lives. Not a choice but of necessity leaders live out of necessity because you realize that there's something inside of me. That someone needs, there's something inside of me and because someone needs, and it's a necessity that I do things right to anybody can do better. But are you willing to do it, right? Because you got to make yourself do, right? And making yourself do, right? It is a discipline. You got to make yourself because like I said, self wants to relax. Almost take it easy. Hey, and you must understand something. You've got to do. What God has called you to do out of necessity? Because God has called me to do it, whatever you do in word or deed do as Unto the Lord, when I one of my job. I have to do that job as unto the Lord. I had to master whenever tastic near the end or more job. I have to do my own stripping up and I didn't know nothing about stripping negatives and stuff up. I had to go back there. Learn how to take those Crop Marks. Put them in the right place. Take this stuff. And on this masking sheet cut it open so it would burn on the plate. I have to learn to do all that stuff because it was mandatory then that the guy was, he was all Baba. I was there, you got to do it yourself. and you got to do some things and you got to master those things whether you want to or not because leaders Sometimes become weary trying to do the impossible and you got to do the impossible, you got to do it, you got to make yourself, learn some things that you really don't want to learn and guess what, you've got to find. You've got to get a mindset of interest in stuff. You don't like, Come on you got to make yourself an interest in doing things you don't like because if you don't it's just going to make matters worse.
And again, it goes right back to people are afraid of failure. They're afraid of making mistakes. If you don't fail, you're never going to grow. It is through failure, that wisdom is birth. This is why we've been reading through Proverbs where in Chapter 19 going to chapter 20, this coming Wednesday, Proverbs reveal so much. And so much of who we are so much of what, father wants for our lives. And we've got to understand that because it's the failure that wisdom is birth. If you will learn how to succeed, you learn how to grow.
because most people, And here's the issue, they deal with most people are. So thin-skinned.
They can't take someone telling them you didn't do it, right? You know, the worst thing in the world,
With thin skin is when your heart becomes hardened. Because when I finish skin person, then they get a hard heart against the person who's telling them. What they did wrong. Man is like adding insult to injury, don't be telling me. I'm telling you you didn't do it, right? Do it right? And it's kind of like you got to do it over and over and over till you, get a ride and that's why I so important.
You know this same young man, ask this preacher is old preacher. Yes, the preacher says, have you ever been insulted?
Have you ever been had nobody at church ever insults you? Have you ever been insulted in the old preacher? Looked at any says, let's see. I've been kicked. I've been spit on. I've been thrown out. But nobody ever insulted me.
Why? Because the average person in the ministry, if they have a problem that little problem will blow him over, cuz they can't handle something going wrong in their lives. Why Your Leader? Your leader because You can handle the insults. And you don't even count them as insults. You can handle things that go wrong. And you simply say this, it's worth it. It's worth it to the glory of God. It's worth it because God has called me to do this and no money or nothing else. Could pay me to do this job. It's worth it for who I am, and who got called me to be as a person. And that's why it's so important. Understand. Is it worth it to you being a later? Is it worth it to you? Being that light, being that Beacon because with the insults and all the other things that come along with it? Is it worth it? Any questions?
Got a question, okay? As one of them.
Cuz everybody was listening. So
After reading Luke chapter 12, these versus here.
One thing that I saw is that it says you know, the Lord Show make ruler over his household to give them their portion of meat in due season, but it said that the faith Wayne Wise Stewart, whom his Lord shall make ruler. And I guess what I'm trying to say is in the ministry is it the pastor that gives, you know, the leaders, like their assignments or, you know, I mean, how do you know That you know we're going to do. I mean to me it seems like there's nothing to do or there's no assignments or you know there's plenty to do but I think people don't know what to do. You've got to recognize. It's not the people don't know what to do. It's because of What we call a volunteer army, you can ask people to do certain things but is it within where they would be willing to do it? Because we all have the potential to learn to do something. Just like I said about learning to run a printing press, but the willingness to do my Bible says, if you be willing and obedient says, kind of like, when you started out that Sunday night, when Bishop driving down, you said, I'll take the offering started from taking a simple offering receiving an offering, and then he asked you 2.
Do it again and all the sudden the person that was a church treasurer who had a bachelor's degree and a master's degree. They just got this attitude with leadership and they don't want to do it. So Bishop ask you if you would become Church treasure you had no treasury. Treasury experience. You learn on the fly. So father taught you how to be a church treasury taught you how to set of records and things like that. And then all of a sudden, it was 1986 all the Fallout of PTL in all these Ministries and all this stuff about money. So the whole thing changed. So you have to learn how to set up. Proper electronic record-keeping, you have to learn all those things but it was the willingness cuz no one was there to teach you, they were scaring all the preachers. Cuz they were telling the preachers preachers are going to jail with Jim Jim Bakker because of what was going on, and they were three for $5,000 to do this and you did What they were going to charge all this money for because I believe in season. And to me, this is why being in season is so important when you're in the right place at the right time and it's your season. God will use your life to make a difference. So it just seems to me that. I don't know if it's the season. You know that were in you know after that the pandemic is that it just seems like we're coming into the house of the Lord and that's all we're doing. Well, you better understand most Ministries. They're just glad to have a house to church going to. I mean you're not going to things are not going back the way they used to be. Where was religion? It's not going to be religion as it was before we have people doing this. We have people doing that you're helping here. We had all these going to have Revival this week, we're going to, it was like, people were being driven. And they were being driven by religion because it wasn't really about people drawing. My Bible says draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you. Father is calling people to himself whether they coming to church now or whether they get it on Facebook where they get on conference call line. Father wants his word to go out and he says it this way in the scripture that all may know, Okay, if that is the case, then why would we need like a building of this size? OK, Google, hear the word on Sunday, that's what it's about. What's the priority man shall not live by what? But what? God wants to get his word out without all the other stuff. Distracting people from the word.
He's doing it. He's using Facebook. He's conference call and he uses buildings. You got to have a question. You had said you had said earlier than some people. Or living off of your prayers as as a leader. My question is, is Is that? Is living off of our prayers, to strengthen them, or, or are they using us as a reason to be unwilling to do what they're supposed to do as a reason to be unwilling? Because God says that every man would have its own Vineyard and every man will have its own. You know, these parts all that God wants. Everybody has their own, we're living in a day at a time when people want to live off of someone else. Come on, let's be realistic. Here you have people on assistant that been on assistants all their lives. Assistance wasn't made to live on your whole life. Assistance was there to help? Give you a a step up a hand up And some people are people sent my house. How can I project be your house? That's not your house. You have use of it. But it's not yours and people have become so acclimated to someone giving them something that they don't have to put any skin into the game. How do you transition a matter that?
I don't know. only God people that lived in the projects, when I first got married, we all got out. Most of them bought homes. But those are came in afterwards. It's like, they want to stay forever and a day. and it's it's sad because father has enough for everybody and even in the body of Christ, the church, even with the building, its, you were coming to point to where The buildings have got to be tools for what God wants. And this is just where we're at with Ministry. You got to recreate Ministry that we're Ministry becomes not just a place for Sunday, but a place for bringing in elevating. The people I was, I was saying, I reckon so you're not not the projects, I was saying in reference to people. Constantly coming to you saying, pray for me. Pray for me. Pray for me. How do you transition? I'm out of that to where they start praying for themselves. I want you to come with me. We going to the church. We going to kneel right here at this Pew, and we can pray through. Till God, give you your answer and you make them pray. I make them pray and make them pray.
simply because People.
Prayer is communion and fellowship with God, prayers also work. But prayers also learning how to listen. How to listen and what is happening in the lives of our society. There's so many voices.
Let me know when I see you. Okay, is so many voices and those voices are pulling people there at all. All I want, is your money. Look, I work everyday like y'all work and about the money. I mean, I find that I thank God for what He blesses me with as far as Ministry, goes what you all would bless me with but I'm not browbeating, anybody give me anything because that's not what it's about my life. If I want something, I go to my wife. And she'll tell me, no. You realize something? People have got to learn to seek the Lord. That's all I can tell. I'm ain't in it. Reinventing the ministry is going to take coming together. What is the need? Father, we need your mind. We need your heart for this community. And like I said, I mean if we're not to be in this community, please tell us that we can all move forward. Because unless you learn Spanish for somebody to learn Spanish, we can be in the wrong place soon where Cambodian, I mean, let's face the reality. The community has changed. Ain't nobody doing what what they call that stuff. They talk bonics. ebonics and I but ain't nobody talkin ebonics around here but I mean, the place has changed. And so, my thing is that Lord, if you're saying it's time to transition, tell me. I said because but I wanted to be where, if someone would come in, they will be blessed. By what they would, would we receive here? Now, I'm also praying my prayers out of every nation. Kendrick Drive in town. We need a fellowship. Where people can come in and worship together, like you said, in your word, and that's where it's got to come. Because it can't be just one sided. I mean with Pastor Garcia, when he have the church over there on 13th, Street in El Paso Garcia. It I remember when he started on 16th and Swan Terry's come up every Sunday on the corner. 60, this wondering what his guitar and he started that Ministry there. He played a guitar and singing, and playing guitar and singing. And, you know, he built that Ministry but kind of like, When he was gone and his wife tried to carry it on, I don't even know if she still living. Now I'm not sure or how she is but they put their life into that place to do that and they build a tremendous Ministry and but again Oral Roberts, University Oral Roberts, put his life into it. Nobody in this family was able to carry it on. How many Ministries? How many liters? You know, because if you don't Jerry Falwell, look at this boy, he blew that Ministry because their heart wasn't in the ministry. And your heart's got to be in it. That's why I said you got to be married to that Ministry. And people really aren't understanding, they want to court a Ministry but they don't want to really be married to the ministry because married to the ministry, I'm going to do my part, the very best I can. But everything I do works for the glory of God. Yes.
According to Ministry is you, you will be around it. But you don't really commit to it. You want commitment is here. Cardenas looks good to my eye. Yeah. I like that but there's the heart's not in it.
being from the old school you and I We were always taught there's dating and his courting courtship was for marriage, dating was temporary. So is that what you're alluding to that? They're just waiting to church. They're not courting a church or cording, but see to go from According to marriage. That means you've got to All In. Fancy dating. You can date the day and not date tomorrow. But according you kind of like I want it but I don't want it. And you got to tell you put the ring on the finger, third finger left hand. Hey you're still Corden. Because you haven't committed to marriage and Ministry is a marriage. Remember he calls us the bride of Christ? We got to be committed. To the marriage supper of the Lamb. That means we are in it for the long haul. Some people don't see it that many people do not see themselves in a relationship. To be the bride of Christ, they don't see themselves, they see Church. They see religious activity. But they don't see what it is that they need to really see and that is the marriage supper of the Lamb. That one day, you're going to meet him. Face to face.
And that's why it's so important. I mean, how to get people to that point people today and our society are committed to one thing
That's all people want. People want money and I keep telling you it's Monopoly. It's Monopoly money. It's not a real money. There's nothing backing it up. And people don't get it and that's why I want to share this next segment with you and soon. For them to go to Dairy Queen. And when we talked about re tooling you know it Macy.
Every Ministry is going to have to be retooled.
It's getting the mind of the Lord and really, you've got to go and find out and you got to look in their faces. What happens is? You can try to redo something but you got to look into their faces engineering and people that work, the new electronics and stuff like that when they call an engineer in the engineers and people design stuff, but it's the people that are there who have to keep this stuff running and make it work. Those are the people you need. And this is where people together Ministry of Labor. What is the share with people about the
Doing your spiritual gift assessment, things like that and you determine your spiritual gifts. He also needs to do what they call other assessment such as your personality and certain personalities. They can't do certain things in Ministry cuz they don't have the personality for And you've got to be willing to grow and change and allow, you know, God to Usher with you, continually, God is not leaving anybody the same. God is going to change you, whether you want to change or not. He's going to pull out of you and make you become who he wants you to be whether you want to or not. So you can sit there and try that. Like I'm not telling you. He says I am the Lord I change. We've got to change. We have got to change as people as Believers. And I mean, All I know is my father is faithful just work. Want to run this video clip. And take a gander at this, then I'll share with you.
Help me, Holy Spirit. I'm going to say it again. A Christian is a religious preacher. I used to be a Christian. It almost killed me.
I was poor on enjoying property because religion makes you comfortable and property. I was sick and enjoying sickness wife, cuz religion makes you comfortable and sickness. The word Christian was never ever used by Jesus. It was never introduced by Jesus ever call ourselves.
The word Christian was created by an introduced by pagans. Read your history. Peter never used it. James never used it. John never used it. Permission to twice. Randy was in a pagan town. when the pagans didn't know what to call the Believers, Primanti Brothers this word that you've adopted. I rebuke that in the name of Jesus, I don't want to carry any name to pay. This gave me. I want the name. He gave me because you are sons of God. Come on, somebody because you are tease. Oh, I like that better.
A Christian. Is a religious person a citizen. Is a legal person. Kristen DeLong. The religious group. What a citizen belongs to a kingdom. A religious preacher gets things from his guards. By appeasing them. A citizen gets things from his government by qualifying for them. A citizen is different. A religious person gets things from their God.
Why? Doing acts of worship. What a citizen gets paid from his government. By demanding his rights. We got to get it man and you are a Christian. That's why you got to do a lot of things to make God Like You. Because you are just like the Heathen and the Penguin. Phagans Beauty samples for that Dodge, they bring food to that. God they offer money to netcost. They do oblation. They pour out all kind of wine and blood. They offer sacrifice of the Romans, did the Greeks. Did the Assyrians did the Babylonians? These were not atheist. They believed in God.
Do religious people say? The rumors are very religious. How to write the word use for these different religions was simply pagans. A pagan is not an atheist. A pagan is a worshipper by religious person that's time that God. I'm a very dedicated at dark. The Romans had many temples, are they worshiping God of Zeus, god of polis, Diana of the Ephesians, all of these major gods, they were worshiping people. I made to the Believers of Christ. Into another category, you just another religion called That's why. Christians today. I listed among one of the world religions. What a tragedy? I said want to try to leave cuz all we got to do just in our country, we got Islam, Judaism Christianity, salt, ISM, taoism Scientology list. You as one of them, But not me. No, I got delivered from that stuff. Can I get an amen? When Jesus walked the Earth, been a number to call him. He was in the pharmacy cuz they were falling. You see? He wasn't a sadducee cuz they was sad. You say he wasn't having a rodian.
You're an ass being like John. He was this guy that couldn't categorize many times when I met him. The first question was who are you
If you get the message today but I'm teacher of the kingdom. When you go back to work, they are saying, who are you on? Your answer, should not be. I am a Christian. What does a religious person tell him? I am a son of the Living God working here in this location to bring transformation for this job. Put on the song. Hallelujah, man.
Hallelujah. He is coming alive inside of me.
When I was a Christian.
I own everybody. This is the truth of my testimony when I understood the kingdom, today. I am debt-free. Hi, thank you for watching, please. All right. For you see that? I said you have to change the name of the church since you're going to have to change the name of the church. I said yeah I said I've been thinking about that for a while. I said, because This is to be a center for growth and development. This is not to be what has been and changing and recognizing the necessity for change. I mean, name is changed quite a few times, 11 more but to be a center for growth and development. Why? Because It's about leadership.
And we've got understand as those that are leaders.
Leadership is something that. Must be learned. To be a leader. You better learn to believe you got to be willing to go through the change. You've got to, and Leadership must be learned, and Leadership, can be learned.
But you got also understand something that leadership personalities and leadership styles. And Leadership traits do not exist. People made this thing that being a leader so hard. True leadership is an attitude rather than a title. What's your attitude? True leadership? Inspires rather than manipulates and controls. That's why after having been in the Nation of Islam to see how people try to manipulate and control other people. That's not what God has for us. And true leadership is 100% influence through inspiration. There's got to be influenced to inspiration. You have to Inspire people, you hand and how do you inspire people and inspiration is so important. Why is it that one person can be in a setting and they inspire people to follow them? It's because What's going on inside of them influences, not just enough it in a l. L ship is the capacity to influence others to inspiration, motivated by Passion has to be passion passion generated by vision and produced by conviction and ignited by purpose all those things work together. As those that are leaders in special this minute this house. You know, I I look at, I think, let me see, it was I think Michelle said December, you'll be free December.
Okay.
She's she is looking to be debt-free by December, she heard she responded. Elder Tatum same thing. She heard. She responded Chief Elder and I think she's probably just down to her mortgage. Everything else is paid up. Why? Because when you hear and you understand leadership is the capacity to influence others to inspiration, motivated by Passion generated by Vision, produced by conviction and ignited by a purpose. It's so important that we understand. Don't minimize the importance of purpose because it's too purpose. That we understand that we get conviction, do conviction, we get Vision through vision, we get passion to passion and get inspiration. That's what makes you a leader. And Leadership is not a Pursuit but leadership has a result. See people try to pursue ventilator you recognize that God has called me that leads someone we split basketball. that's kids and I was never great basketball player, but I knew, you know, they were going to choose this, this this, but if somebody didn't show up, Guess who is going to get picked up. I was going to get picked to be on the team, so then and playing ball cuz we had to play with the older guys. In the older, guys never took any pity on you. They slap you upside your head. It was a thing where you play with older guys, they want to draw blood that elbow you in the mouth. Hit you upside your head. If you want to play with us, you got to play with us, and you couldn't wind and belly ache. So that's how you learn, we learn to play basketball, you know, stuff like that because it's a result of your head getting hit and get a knot on your head. Do your lips? Getting busted your nose bleeding because you wanted to play and then you got the game. And then you learn how to get someone back. That's what you did because of leaders. Not a label that you give yourself. Leadership is a privilege given to you by followers? Why is it that people follow you? They follow you because they see something there, something is taking place, your about purpose and Jesus is our is our ultimate Leadership Model and I think this is where we lose sight. Sometimes you know, Jesus was born in it and it up up skewer forgotten town on a healed and ancient UDF. He was raised in a village according to archaeology, archaeology Chaco research had only they sent, it only had one street with 11 houses on it and leave me no record of having it at any. Jesus didn't have any formal education and this young man introduced his vision of a new world. Order to a simple Village of people who themselves were considered to be released on the social strata. They were been anyone to recognize The Carpenter's son whoopie doo. And it says, yet, he had a clear sense of purpose. And his commitment to the cause and it's unreal relenting passion, and compassion and Spar, 12, common, local businessmen, among them they were for fishermen a tax collector to abandon their personal dreams. Private priorities and occupations to follow him even to death. That's who Jesus was. Jesus had that kind of effect on people. C l inspired by expressing inward passion and see you then have the n-word passion and that passion resonates, with other people, other people somehow. I kind of feel that way too. I want to join in and what's going on and when they join in because they're pursuing the leaders vision, And you've got to understand that. So when you get free, you want somebody else to do but get free. You don't just want to experience it by yourself. And the source of inspiration and passion is a component. Tell influence the heart and it's a generator of energy and resilience for every leader. Every leaders got to have that energy. Got to have it, you know, that's what, that's why I look at people with and I said, we were down in Chambersburg. One time, my wife spoke down there, And about a pastor Tucker's church and she just went postal and everybody was all excited. Everyone was firing up. That's the kind of Person, she is a snake with the Evangelist Evans. You know, she gets to going off in. There she goes. Because you know many guys don't do that. Guys is do it at the end you know they'll they'll to like Jake's Jake's know. He can't tune for an hour no more. He may be able to do 5 10 minutes but you got to pace yourself. Now them hours 2 hours sweating suits out and stuff them days. He, he talks more now he knows how to project more now. But see passionate is a discovery of a deep born desire. You got a passion and it's pouring out of conviction. That renders one to commit to a purpose and see in the days and times we're living in now, people are willing to commit to a purpose. They only committed to themselves and what they want, they don't see other people, they don't see many times. You know what I'd like? I said, when I go to store, I see how they treat. Some of the little kids. It's like, I see these kids to pay. I just like to take him and say, Hey, you know, they're so precious but how some of them are treated how some of their mothers talk to the kids and I said, man, It's sad because it's hurting those children and even in their learning, I sent you've got to be involved in your child's education. See because it didn't leadership starts in the home. You've got to be and you've got it children of God to have the borders parameters that you come home. This is what we do. You do your homework. We have supper go back. Finish your homework and get your bath stuff. We used to do You know, and it's like so many of these children are raising themselves and you can tell the ones that come from a place of structure that have borders where they take, what they can do and what they can't do. And that's why it's so important. How we interact how we react with children because if we're going to win any children in this community or make an impact on their lives, you've got to be compassionate. Yeah, B. Their urgent. Many of them, they have issues in their lives and enough for the church. And most churches aren't equipped to deal with kids with issues.
Because they don't have the patience. And it's this thing we talked about on Wednesday night. Discipleship. Discipleship. You've got to learn how to disciple someone so that they're willing to receive what it is. You're saying it's one thing your kid do something and you yelling and screaming and hitting them with the belt and strap. That's not the type of ship discipleship, is instructing them. This is what happened? And this should not have happened, and we need to correct this. So I'm going to disciple you through the scriptures through the word show you this through the word instead of being heavy-handed see how it was crazy. I was heavy-handed, I didn't know. No better cuz I came up. Everybody was heavy-handed. They didn't explain, they didn't disciple. You do instruction. You got to be disciple through instruction. The true leadership passion is the discovery of belief. Reason idea conviction and cause not just to live for, but to die for. Do you want to see the community change? Can the African-American community be salvaged? Do they want to be salvaged? because you can't keep saying them them them, they they they And I'm thinking, no, it's we have so much money in our community and we use it for so many the wrong things.
We use it for so much of the wrong things. so, We've got to focus on what's best for others. What's best for the whole because see, we've got to understand.
People solve, as a president that he didn't do anything for Black Folk. But what he did, he saved the whole country by saving those corporations that gay people employment. And that was, I guess his assignment at that time because if he hadn't done what he did, if GM and all those automakers and all those Banks and other financial institutions would have collapsed, what would have been the condition of the country today? Even though they got all the money and kept it for themselves? They didn't collapse but you know in this is why I share with people. You've got to come to the point in life where you've got to get some kind of business going some kind of instructional thing going because if we don't it's got a benefit more than just you you know? I look it over fetty, I mean, yeah, I was offending. He employs people, he helps people with jobs and things like that because that was what he envisioned for his life and we've got to determine God. What are you showing me? How am I to make an impact that will benefit? And see what he says in the Psalms is, what shall I render to the Lord for all his benefits? Because what am I going to give God? So that he's blessed me it, but I want to bless somebody else. And this is what our lives are about. Most of us in this room, understand what it is to give to someone else. I mean, looking, you know, Mom, surely, you know, it's wanting to get the toys to Guyana but you know I shared it with somebody else. Now this child, this child is driving from Illinois with these toys. I'll be calling you. I was trying to say, look, you can't do this but she said she was going to bring them, she got it. I don't know how she's traveling. I'm praying, you know, because I Almond Drive 12 hours with toys, but she's trying to drive from Illinois with toys to be sent to Guyana. Why second? Myler going to benefit someone else yet, done it for a daycare, the pastor decided he didn't want to daycare. So, she got all the stuff she's bringing it here. And that's what you call commitment. That's what you call. Passion does help someone else succeed and what it is. They're doing clear sense of purpose. Because you got understand. Passionate commitment, allows one to defy. See, when you're passionate commitment, you will Define opposition. I'm trying to. She said, are you trying to tell me not to come? I said, well, I don't want to say that but, you know, us, you know, she said, well, I got the truck and I'm doing this, okay, whatever you got a truck car, whatever you want to do. She says, I know it's 14 hours. I said, well, you ain't got me praying, so she's coming all the way here. And I'm praying. Her angel, keeps her awake keeps her alert because she ain't no spring chicken. But you defy I'll position you Define adversity, you divide feel when your leader you got to defy these things opposition, a personal failure, disappointment, and discouragement, why? Because your leader, You can get discouraged, just like anybody else. Can people think old nothing, bothers you that bothers. You bothers me, but I have to defy it. I can't give it any Credence to my life and opposition adversity, failure. Disappointment discouragement, see why? Because passion is a controlling desire that exceeds the boundaries of casual interest. We have a passion for Ministry of passion. You just want somebody to preach to you. I said ain't nobody in here. we came in for my conference call line, all doing covid didn't matter if anybody was here, Yeah, that's why I wasn't going to close. So I knew that that man I want to come here or cobwebs hanging everywhere. You understand something passion is a controlling desire that exceeds the boundaries of casual interest or concern and transports transfer ports, the individual into a realm of obligation. I am, obligated to God, With whatever I do. I'm obligated to God from Ministry. I'm obligated to God to do what he's called me to do. Why? That's my obligation to God. God, every time I tell people everything I have every it's because of God. God bless my wife, my wife bless me. I said, I had no car payment and she cancel that thing. I said hey, thank the Lord because true inspiration is not manipulation and brainwashing too many people in the name of religion and they were Christianity there in the manipulation and brainwashing people, but it's an invitation in trance racing, as an invitation, to pursue something higher, and something better than you've ever had before. That's what inspiration is, man. It's a process of, you know, recognizing that there's a sense of significance in my life. I want my life to mean something. You got to want your life to mean something for someone else's life. And this is why you become a second Meyler. You know, how to tell my boss of my job and Xerox. I make you look good.
I said I make you look good. I said so therefore I'm not signing no review cuz every review they got to put something negative down about you. So I said I'm not signing it and he just got to look at me because I don't believe in reviews. I'm doing this job making you look good. Making money for this company and you can tell me something I didn't do that please. I said, is anybody calling you any complaints? I said, ain't nobody calling ain't no complaints. I'm making you look good. There's no rework. It's not coming back, it's done right? The first time that's been one thing I learned do it right the first time I don't want nobody correcting something that I've done. I want it done, right? The first time I can't stand rework. And I tell everybody rework cost money when you got to redo some of this cost me and so it's important. So it's manipulation and brainwashing is apart of religion. When the person discovers a sense of purpose and produces a passion for Pursuit, what are you in pursuit of and see? People have this mindset but they don't want to put the work into it. What is what they're called to do? You got to put the work. Are you willing to put the work when you have purpose? It produces passion for pursuing it. Like I said, I don't like numbers, I don't do numbers. My wife does numbers, she's passionate about numbers. I mean, I can't even say the last time I thank God for we call it. The online banking. Cuz I don't have to do anything but look and see. Is there money? There is there anything pending there's nothing pending I got money. That's bottom line. If there's something pending slow down, you move too fast. You got to make the cash last. But passion is what inspires other people to want to join your Pursuit, why? Because if you have a passion people see what is you're doing, they want to be a part of what it is known as Leaders. That's why I said Your passion has to be seen with your children. Your passions. Got to be seen with your grandchildren, your passions. Got to be seen with your great-grandchild. Do. They see your passion for the things of God? Do they see your passion for what it is you're doing for the glory of God? You know, we can't afford in this hour to hold back on what we do for the kingdom because it's been enough of that to say that 8% of the people, do all the work in the church and the other 92% tell him why it's not right. And that's what people do. You should have done that. Don't do that stuff out here. It's like this is crazy. I said if you're going to be a part don't just Court me. Come on Marion to it. Come on in here. Wait we need we need workers every now more than an Earl. John sees us a workers. Where Coronavirus?
Put some applications that you need workers. You can't have the youth work without workers and they got to be compassionate. They've got to have a passion for it. They got to be influential, they got a not influence kids to buy kids, they are smart. See you kissing old days. You think couple songs give me some crack and give me a little juice and it was good to go kiss that they look at you like you got to come and get you got to do better than this. I got juice at home. I mean these kids are smart today man. So you've got to be very creative if you're going to Minnesota children today you got to go somewhere. And you got understand something else that people are inspired by the thinking and actions of a leader. How do you think, how do you act, you know, are you inspire other people to want to come along on your journey? Because if you don't, they're not going to come along. And, you know, I asked people said, if you just take your phone and all the people, you call every week that may not go to church anywhere and invite them this service, invite them to be a part of what's going on here. And bite them if even just call him and praying with him. Take for 5, people call him and pray with him. People in your family, call them and pray with me. I just wanted to send I just want to take a minute or two to pray with you and pray with them that shows your interest that shows that you have a passion for them. And if you start doing that, they'll want to come. The ministry don't want to come to Fellowship Bell one. That think there's something that you know you're showing interest.
An invitation to pursue something, higher and better is so important. Because in the process, it has gives people a significance of meaning to their lives. So you're saying look to your life has more meaning and you got to go deep. You do you think about this Leaders are often ordinary people who accept or placed under extraordinary circumstances and bring forth the latent potential produce to the character that inspires confidence and Trust within others. You think about Martin Luther King. You think he woke up one day and said I'm going to be a civil rights leader know, that man went to Seminary that man was at wonderful. Creating an eloquent preacher, he was very articulate. Think about this, I have a dream that one day the nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of the Creed of its Creed. We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal and a lot. He's everybody's the same. I don't care what y'all say everybody. Same God, who created everybody? The same. We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are Created equal and he was slapping him in the face the whole time. All men are created equal and they still in denial.
And then it says, I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will, not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character, is he a character character development? And that's why it's so important. That's why I was a l l are not often leaders aren't ordinary people who accept their place in extraordinary circumstances. Imagine you going to school to be a preacher and you don't finish Seminary and you got this big Baptist Church down in Atlanta and your dad was a pastor. Now you're the pastor and no sudden know you got to go do this. What you mean you got to go out here and protesting walk in the street and get beaten. Get locked up. Get fire, hoses, put on you. You going to have all this but I'm going to school to be a preacher preach on now it's changed. Ordinary man. Winston Churchill in World War II Famous by Churchill say, says never give in never give in never, never never never Churchill with during World War with the school before. And then Here, Come This World War II, German parts of England Bonaparte to London and he has to get there until these people, something to inspire and encourage them. You got to understand something influence inspiration. What you say? What we say, mean so much. But it Kennedy say, what do you say? That's not what you can do for your country, but what that is not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country Very true people don't get it not a lot. Too few words that have been lasting inspiration lasting influence even Bishop Ravenel used to say this thing. He says it may be difficult but it's not impossible.
That's, that's so true. May be difficult but it's not impossible. What did Nehemiah say Nehemiah 6 and 3 and I sent Messengers under them saying I'm doing a great work so I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and come down to you. That's why people try to influence you to tell you don't have to do that. You don't need to know. I'm about to go to work and I'm not coming down. Why? Because God gave me to do this work. I'm obligated to it. How about Esther 416 go, gather together. All the Jews that are present in shushan and fast for me, and neither eat nor drink 3 days and nights or day, I also and my Mains will fast like wise and so, will I go into the King, which is not according to the law if I perish I perish.
Amazing. Influence. Inspired passion. How about David? 13 and 14 but now but Kingdom show, but now, by Kingdom shall not continue. The Lord has thought him a man after his own heart. Who's the man after God's Own Heart, David? And the Lord has commanded him to be a captain over his people because Dallas, not kept that, which the Lord commanded the Consol you didn't do what I told you. I'm calling somebody else and some 17:26 and David speaking to the man that stood by him saying, what shall be done to the man that killed this Philistine and take away the reproach from Israel who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the Living. God, David new. It's not about me. It's about God. This is called the church. He tells me very clearly in the scriptures, he is coming for a glorious Church. A glorious Church, a church without spot without Plymouth. The church is going to be here. They may not be there. Maybe church that you don't understand. They may come from areas, you don't know. But you remember when he brought them out of Egypt? He said any of those that want to go with you. Let him come with you. But don't serve their gods. And that's why it's important for us to understand. We don't know what all father is doing in the Earth. Covid was just something. because everybody take a chill pill and look at themselves get to know their families again and understand that God is in full control. We are not in control. So now they'll be something new.
Said Paulie said, Romans 1:16, what did he say for? I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. For it is the power of God, unto salvation to everyone that believeth to the Jew first and to the Greek, see you gotta understand something. The greatest leadership seems to surface during times of personal social economic, and political, and spiritual conflict. That's When leaders come out. Having followers is not a prerequisite for being a leader. You don't need follows. A leader that the man l b require that you stand alone and the face of conflict in the face of public opinion, all the use of now you got to stand alone. Come on. David got the zig line, what they said they were ready to kill David. And David inquired of the Lord. And then God told David pursue and recover all, but he was standing alone. So inspiration is a Divine deposit of Destiny in the heart of a person. That's what inspiration is.
The Divine deposit of Destiny and the Heart of a person when you inspire others. That's a Divine deposit in your heart given to you, by God. That's why I said you got understand, don't quit. Don't quit. Never never. Never. Never. Whatever is going on. I'll go it by myself, but I'm not quitting.
What are you gifted in is often revealed by the type of leadership that you have and you are meant to exercise and have dominion. And operate in my wife operates, Andre in finances and getting people to get out of debt. I said that's where she operates and it's the real deal. Why? Because that's important because religion will keep you in bondage. And true leaders discovered keys to the nature of leadership from the examples of others. But don't ever try to be like somebody else. Other Lady Gaga, you're not a clown. You're an original, they are an original. So quit trying to be like the other people And everybody's got to use her own gifts and abilities to do what they are individually call to do, you can share with them, you can invite them in, but you got to find out how big a fit in the puzzle. You got about 500 piece puzzle, guess what? If a piece is missing you got a puzzle with a hole in it. and you got to understand that, don't try to get everybody that fit in just like, you know, you got to let them have some And use some of their own leadership capability. Don't try to get them to be just like you. Nobody's going to be just like you, nobody can be just like me. Which is that Michelle, OKC, Holy Spirit.
That's all right. It's all right. Lord, forgive her
Failing to discover your personal leadership, potential will deprive your generation and succeeding generations of your unique and vital contribution to the world. And that's what we're dealing with right now. Because people are being deprived of leaders for this hour. We're trying to what did he say? He told him you have manafort's a day and they tried to save Mana. He said, no, I'll tell you when you can get someone for this is for the weekend. But other than that, don't take any extra and they were thinking they're going to be without Not God is with you. And we tell ourselves, God is with us but we think we're going to be without something while. I'm not giving the church, I'm not doing keep your money cuz you got holes in your pocket. So therefore you got holes in your pocket. Somebody's going to get it. And so, don't get that mindset. That this about your money has not about your money, not about any of our money, it's all belongs to God. And that's all I can tell anybody. So, you know, if you give give if you don't don't, I mean, bottom line is this point in my life, hey, life is good for me. And I God is good, life is good. And all I know, is that father is faithful to his word. I've never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread. So I have that Blessed Assurance of us work. So, we have the Blessed Assurance of the word of God. So this is why, you know, why? I said it's important that we understand don't get caught up in religion Don't get caught up in that craziness, because religion will kill you. in the name of religion, you have to Crusades then after you had the Crusades, then you had the What's the numbers? They came up with their version, they're going to do what they're going to do. And All these wars are religious wars people fight over man-made religion.
I said, forget it. Let It Go. He reveals himself to us individually. Jesus called me, I don't know. Who else got saved the day. I got saved, but when you call my name, I answered the call. And he knew and that's what I tell people question. You still got your mic in hair. Still got my mic in my hand. I don't have a question. I know time is hitting new but as you know I'm trying to finish up around the church and I do need some help.
If anybody has 5 or 10 minutes today, after this meeting that I can just share with you, the vision that the Lord has given me, you know, to finish up this Sanctuary, you know, I just need to run it by, you know, someone, I need to get things on order. I'm trying to get things done before the woman's work on December 17th. And I can't, you know, put it off any longer, you know, because like I said, I do have to order online, how to get what I need. And I'm not sure, you know where it's coming from, and, you know, how long it's going to take, though? I mean, even if one or two of you can, you know, to stay afterwards or 5 or 10 minutes, you know, that that I can share what God has put on my part at Appreciate it.
As always, I reserve the right to interfere
Since some people didn't like, how I did a front.
Don't worry about it. I put something up there and praise God. God is good. Father, I thank you for my brothers and sisters. Thank you for this day. Father, we thank you for the open door of opportunity. You afforded to all of us to be able to be leaders in to help develop other leaders, because you called everyone to be a leader. In some semblance, some sense of how leadership flows weather in our mother children and our jobs, and our homes, and our families. Father, in the name of Jesus, we are to influence others For Your Glory, for your praise, and for your honor, the father, thank you. And I bless you this day. Bless each and every household, each and every family meet each and every one of their point of need. And father we thank you because father you are a faithful and father you call us from different walks of life, different experiences. And father you call us for one purpose and that you might be glorified. So you're the god of ink. Recent father, we thank you for an American increase quality of increasing and financial increase in the name of Jesus. So father we give you glory praise and honor. We do lift up our brothers and sisters that are being challenged in their physical health, father. That you help them and bring them through victoriously because father. And you said, I'm come that you might have life and that more abundant, this is why Jesus came. So father, we have all to gain and nothing to lose in Jesus name we pray. Amen.
but I just want to show you what I came up with and then I mean if if you say
Way of Pastor has it? I was in the process of changing it. And the reason for that is because of what was coming in with the vertical blinds and the new lighting and the thing is just trying everything. You know what, the vertical blinds, and the new lighting. So I want to just quickly show you what I came.
