Psalms 8:1-9 1 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. 2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. 3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: 7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; 8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. 9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. An expected end - a future and a hope
1. It is noteworthy that He does think of them, and towards them. Observe that this Scripture saith not, “I know the thoughts that I have thought toward you.” – Biblical Illustrator
God rather says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you.
There is a very important difference in those words. If He said, “For I know the thoughts that I have thought toward you” it would be worth rejoicing over. To think that God had taken time to think about me and to consider my needs. That would be great!!!!!
What He says however is, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you.” In other words, He thought about me yesterday, He is thinking about me today, HE IS EVEN THINKING ABOUT ME RIGHT NOW, and He will think about me tomorrow. I never leave His thoughts!

His thoughts toward me are thoughts of peace, not of evil.

Ephesians 2:11-16 11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, (The position of being an enemy) even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
The Bible says in Psalms 7:11b God is angry with the wicked every day. That is those who are the enemy of God. Those who have never accepted His free gift of salvation. However, for those who have been justified by faith there is a peace with God through the finished work of Calvary and the Lord Jesus.

His thoughts toward me are for an expected end – a future and a hope

1 Corinthians 15:19-22 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
