In All Things
Facts: 1-God works in ALL things
2: This does not mean that everything that happens is GOOD.
3: God is able to turn anything around for our long range GOOD
4: HIS work is not to make us happy but to fulfill HIS purpose
5: The is a promise ONLY for those who live “according to HIS purpose.”
TRUTH:
God Loves us Unconditionally and eternally and we are at, all times, surrounded by Jesus LOVE.
The BIG P WORD
Many are hung up on Predestination.
Some call it determination and even some theologians give the interpretation that God pulls all the strings and we have no control of our actions.
Luke 14:16–23 (NIV84)
Jesus replied: “A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests.
At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’
“But they all alike began to make excuses.
The first said, ‘I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it.
Please excuse me.’
“Another said, ‘I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I’m on my way to try them out.
Please excuse me.’
“Still another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’
“The servant came back and reported this to his master.
..........
“Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that my house will be full.
Paul’s questions fall into three categories:
1: Will opposition from others or Satan be too great?
2: Will we fall because of our tendency to sin?
3: Will we be overcome by difficulties?
Will opposition from other people or Satan be too great?
He held nothing back from or for us.
Will we fail because of our tendency to sin?
He defeated Satan and temptation so we could be saved from them.
A LETTER TO YOU
Do you ever think that because you aren’t good enough for God, he will not save you?
Do you ever feel as if salvation is for everyone else but you?
At those times, make verses 31–34 your constant companions.
If God gave his Son for you, he isn’t going to hold back the gift of salvation!
If Christ gave his life for you, he isn’t going to turn around and condemn you!
Christ will not withhold anything you need in order to live for him.
The book of Romans is more than a theological explanation of God’s redeeming grace—it is a letter of comfort and confidence addressed to you.
Will we be overcome by difficult times?
the experience of disaster in our lives and the reality of God’s love are not mutually exclusive.
The trials we go through are not an indication that God has forgot about HIS love for us.
Just as the good times don’t mean HE loves us more during those times.
God instills within us the power to sail right into the face of a disaster, No matter what the obstacle, God doesn’t just have our back, he has an overriding purpose and it is always for our best.
In fact it is these things Paul speaks of that can more perfectly display God’s love because it produces perseverance, hope and love.
Who or what can separate us?
Challenge:
What relational difficulties or looming problems are causing anxiety in your life at this moment?
Formulate a question, using the following formula: “What shall separate me from the love of Christ?
Shall____________ ?
Shall____________?
Then answer with a resounding NO!
