11-13-2022 Thanksgiving

Because of the DARKNESS of our Broken World We Need to WALK IN LOVE (Ephesians 5:1-7)

Why? Paul tells us to IMITATE GOD as DEAR CHILDREN

Why? Paul tells us to WALK IN LOVE AS CHRIST loved and gave himself for us - an offering and sacrifice to God

Why? Because the World is full of the ANTITHESIS of love - and expresses its wickedness OPENLY

Because of the DARKNESS of our Broken World We need to WALK AS CHILDREN OF LIGHT (Ephesians 5:8-14)

Most of us are browsing around just out of the light or dancing on the edge...

The world produces unfruitful works of darkness that need to be exposed in our own lives (v. 11)

We have the Spirit - so when WALKING IN THE LIGHT we show forth GOODNESS, RIGHTEOUSNESS and TRUTH (all of which are descriptions of Christ in other passages - thus we show forth CHRIST) finding out or searching what is acceptable to the Lord

You won’t find what is acceptable and good in the sewer...

Because of the DARKNESS of our Broken World We need to WALK CAREFULLY (Ephesians 5:15-21)

The idea of Circumspectly is to be careful or accurate - you need to CHOOSE where to place your spiritual feet, and follow the prescribed pattern of Christ, of the Leading of the Holy Spirit

We need to be AWARE OF TIME

We need to be AWARE OF THE WILL OF GOD

We need to be FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT

From which flows Music, Melody and Thanksgiving

Give Thanks ALWAYS for ALL THINGS

Present Your Thanksgiving to the Father in the Name of Jesus

Present yourselves (humble yourselves) to other believers with RESPECT for GOD
