Introduction
Union Grove, we have come together to plan the upcoming 2023 calendar year for our church.
Well you may be wondering, why is Pastor standing up here trying to “preach” (which I’m not doing) to us during a meeting.
I wanted to take about 10 minutes to speak share the vision that God has given to me for this Body of Christ.
I say this because God has destined and assigned me to Union Grove Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ for this hour and season.
I don’t know how long God will have me here, but while I am here, I’m going to do all I can to lead the way that God has shown me.
So for the past several months God has been dealing with me in regards to the direction of church and what he wants to do for and threw us.
There has been one consistent word that God has given to me, that word is shift.
The definition of shift is “move or cause to move from one place to another, especially over a small distance.
change the emphasis, direction, or focus of.”
To shift literally mean to change.
I know that this one word causes a lot of different feelings and emotions when it comes to the church.
Change is not typically welcome.
Why change when it can stay the same.
