Saul was afraid!
The leader of God’s people was afraid!
If you think you’re not gonna face the enemy, you are mistaken.
He wants you to quit, and he will come up with whatever he can to try and intimidate you *to* quit.
He didn’t pray about it.
He didn’t inquire with God about what to do, he just became afraid.
If he’d just asked God, he would have known exactly what to do.
Notice, Goliath didn’t say israel had disobeyed God.
No prophet came and said this was judgment.
There was no reason to think God wanted israel to be enslaved by the philistines.
Saul wasn’t looking out for David.
Saul was trynna keep david from showing him up!
Why wasn’t Saul challenging Goliath?
BECAUSE HE WAS USING HIS EYES!
Because he was listening to the people like him!
He was focused on THE THINGS OF THIS WORLD!!!
If we focus on God, we don’t notice the things of this world!
Even if we did, theyre a joke!

David was already skilled at something MUCH more valuable than war training or strength.
He had already experienced trusting God to empower him to fight a battle much bigger than himself.
David set his mindset correctly by thinking about what God had already done!
He recognized a threat bigger than himself that he needed God to help him overcome.
He knew God could deliver him.
david immediately recognized the armor was useless anyway.
He knew it wasn’t armor that would save him, but God.
What role would armor play in delivering david from.
Goliath?
what was goliath’s strategy?
“Put your eyes on me!” David won by keeping his focus on God.
Just think about it, if his focus was God, what then did goliath look like?
Focusing on himself was the only way goliath could win.
this rock understands God’s power better than you and better than the entire nation of israel.
Creation knows God’s presence.
Creation cries out when we don’t praise Him.
Creation groans and labors with birth pangs, eagerly awaiting the revealing of the sons of God.
if God shows up, He’ll either say yes, or no with a reason.
The only other option, is He’s not able.
If He’s not showing up, that’s our problem.
He already gave us the ability to allow Him to show up!
if your eyes aren’t on Him, you’ve lost!
It’s simplest test in the world!
Remind yourself!!!
God created the past
