Introduction

Today is a day in which I want us to come together and come to the throne room of God. Today is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. For our brother and sisters in Christ both near and far and that might soon be each one of us who will have to choose between Jesus and job, Jesus or our family, Jesus or our home, Jesus or our nation, Jesus or our very life. Our brothers and sisters in Christ have and are giving up all these things for Jesus Christ we may be asked to as well. Today we will also be lifting up our election this coming Tuesday. I do not know what the outcome will be, but as Paul wrote to Timothy. 1 Timothy 2:1-7
1 Timothy 2:1–7 NKJV
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
Supplications - Imploring, earnestly requesting
Prayers - Fervently asking God
Intercession -Being a mediator between that person and God (Jesus and the Holy Spirit are our Intercessor, but we can also be intercessors for others)
Giving Thanks for all men (humans)
Kings
All who are in Authority
Regardless on who wins the election, whether we agree with their politics or not (Remember Paul is written to Timothy while Rome is still in charge and Rome had some pretty sketchy behaviors that are very much like our world today

Prayer for the Persecuted Church

Pray for our brothers and sisters that they remain faithful

Pray that they can have access to the Word of God in their heart language

Pray for those persecuting them that they would come to Jesus

Pray that if they are asked to give their lives that Jesus would be glorified

Prayers for the Election

One day soon we may be the persecuted church that Christians in China or Russia are praying for.
