Matthew 5:10-12

THREE PRINCIPLES - TAKE NOTES!
You cannot go in the wrong direction and end up in the right destination
If heaven is your destination, then you will walk in the direction of persecution.
God’s purpose in your persecution is always greater than the pain He allows you to go through.
Illustration of not trusting in directions
You cannot go in the wrong direction and end up in the right destination
The destination Christ has is twofold:
Heaven
Great rewards
So…rejoice and be glad! Literally, “jump for joy.”
If heaven is your destination, then you will walk in the direction of persecution.
God’s purpose in your persecution is always greater than the pain He allows you to go through.
Did we really think it would be a painless thing for God to make us like Christ?
ONE FINAL PRINCIPLE
If we change direction because of persecution, it’s because we had no idea how great the destination was going to be. So let’s keep the destination in mind, and then we’ll head in the right direction.
