“Confidence that you are saved”

Vs 19 is the key text of this passage

The New King James Version (Chapter 3)

19 And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.

In order to experience this passage you must use your mind and senses

You must use logic with Christianity

Have you clearly understood the Gospel?

Have you made a decisive decision to surrender your life to Christ as your Lord?

If you have what does God clearly declare about you?

Secondly, You have to use your senses!

Is your inner person condemning you?

Do you sense that you will go to hell when you die?

Or do you fill no condemnation?

Thirdly, you have to look experientially

Do you see your life following God’s Word?

Do you sense you want to know God’s Word?

D you enjoy learning God’s Word?

The Bible is clear about knowing your saved. Today I will provide you with the way that God says you can know for sure that you are saved

What is the message this passage teaches?

We can know love and apply love to our lives vs 16

Love is providing specific help to specific needs vs 17

Love involves action and truth vs 18

Love shown in action for the brothers and sisters in Christ provides a basis for knowing you are saved 19

If we fall short of love God is able to overcompensate vs 20

If our heart does not feel guilty we have confidence of being in the presence of God vs 21-22

Our Lord has commanded us to believe on Him and to love the family of God vs 23
