2 Corinthians 12:7(NIV) — 7 or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.
1 Thessalonians 2:18 (NIV) — 18 For we wanted to come to you—certainly I, Paul, did, again and again—but Satan blocked our way.
Ephesians 6:12 (NIV) — 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
2 Corinthians 10:3–5 (NIV) — 3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
1 Timothy 6:12 (NIV) — 12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
There are two erroneous schools of thought when it comes to Spiritual warfare
The children of Israel were promised the Land, but they still had to go in and take possession of the Lord
How do we fight spiritual battles
First by entering His gates with thanksgiving and coming into His courts with praise (Psalm 100:4)
Secondly by waging war with the Word of God that He has given to us (1 Tim 1:18)
If we apply faith then the outcome is secure
It is a fight
We have to fight
It is a good fight
It is a fight of faith
We have to fight the good fight of faith
God says I will show you my will and you have to go and contend for it for the actualisation of it
God will watch things happen if you don't do anything about it
God will show you something from the scriptures and say go to war with this
Outside of faith you are going to experience defeat
Galatians 5:1(KJV) Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
The blood of Jesus has been shed, but we must apply it
Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 1 Corinthians 9:26
Luke 10:18–20 (ESV): And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14 KJV

John 16:33 (NKJV) — 33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
Psalm 3:8 (NIV) — 8 From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.
Joshua 10:8 (NIV) — 8 The LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them; I have given them into your hand. Not one of them will be able to withstand you.”
Proverbs 21:31 (NIV) — 31 The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the LORD.
Psalm 143:8 (ESV) — 8 Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.
pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. I Thessalonians 5:17‭-‬18 NKJV
Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalms 103:1‭-‬5 NKJV
