i Want to read you a prayer I came across

father, I come to you today as an irritated man, a depressed man and a man who doesn’t want to live anymore. I come to you today as someone that can’t seem to get a grip on anything emotionally in his life. I come to you as a man who’s frustrated with the way this year has went, with the state of my heart.. the state of my mind and the state of my physical body.. Im so angry.. im so hurt.. Im frustrated with how Im not finding happiness in anything.. nothing pleases.. im numb to everything.. the amount of times ive thrown things in anger.. the amount of times I’ve yelled To split the Red Sea and said distasteful things about myself and about you, i Come to you today as a man who has nothing left, tears are My daily bread.. I come to you as a man that can’t do it alone..I come to you today as a man that wants to give up and give in, throw in the towel.. and a man who needs and has fully relied on You above it all … im just so angry and hurt…I hate this and sometimes I hate you, but you’re above it all, im your child and you’re the only reason im breathing.. you’re above it alll.. like the sun above in the day and the moon above in the night.. like the soothing water above the streams stones… you’re above it all…and I trust you. and I love you, your son Zack. amenities

we all have so many things going on.. jobs, relationships, voting, news, and today i wanted to take us on a journey, of simply putting Jesus back where he belongs.. above it all..

Through everything in life. Jesus is not only above it all he is also with us.

The one who comes from above is above all

When you see and savor, savor the supremacy of Jesus, when you are satisfied with all that God is for you in Jesus, and when you trust Jesus you clearly, in your soul, are making much of Jesus, treasuring Jesus. But that’s invisible, nobody can see your soul except God. And God sees it and he loves it.

God loves it when you in your soul are seeing him, savoring him, being satisfied in him, trusting him, nobody else can see that. And God did not come into the world in Jesus, or create the world in order to be glorified invisibly. Therefore, the main point doesn’t just say seeing and savoring the supremacy of Jesus, being satisfied in all that God is for us in Jesus, believing in Jesus.

Through it all

Matthew 28:20

20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

i. The promise of His presence is complete. “The English adverb ‘always’ renders an expression found in the New Testament only here – strictly, ‘the whole of every day’. Not just the horizon is in view, but each day as we live it.” (Carson)

ii. His presence means privilege, because we work with a Great King. Paul understood this principle well in 1 Corinthians 3:9, where he wrote: For we are God’s fellow workers. Since Jesus promised, “I am with you always,” then we work together with Him in all our service. We certainly work for Jesus, but more than that, we work with Jesus.

iii. His presence means protection, because we are never out of His sight or supervision.

iv. His presence means power, because as we fulfill this great command, we work in His name.

v. His presence means peace, because it always reminds us that the church belongs to Jesus. It is His church, and His work. How, then, can we worry?

So regardless where you’re at, bad or even if you’re in a good spot in life. May we re center Jesus where he belongs.. above it all.. through it all and kind of all..

So this is what we’re going to do during our quiet time you’re going to write down everything that is good or bad in your life. A list.. a list of your existence

Your job

Your friends

your emotions

your worries

your stresses

And at the end.. you’re going to put Jesus where he belongs.. above it all.. and you’re with me through it all

WE

we all need to put Jesus where He belongs, above it all.. i can only be confident and open about where im at is because i trust, with the little energy i have.. i trust that jesus is above it all and with me through it all.. and may you do the same..

now when we believe that jesus is above it all we will believe that he watches over our life..
