Condition (vs.2,5-7)

Provoke - irritated, grieved, disturbed
Fret - humiliated, oppressed

Continuance (vs.7)

This was a problem that persisted year by year.
All they that live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
We are more like Christ when we suffer like Christ.

Cry (vs.10-11)

“The deeper the problem, the deeper the pain, then we decide to pray.”
Ye have not because ye ask not.
She knew she was barren, but asked God anyways for a child.

Cascade (vs.15-16)

She poured out her soul, she didn’t hold anything back. She let God know everything in her heart.

for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Need for the altar
Need for a prayer closet
Need to vent to God

Countenance (vs.17-18)

23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

Hannah wasn’t worried about limiting God.
Sometimes, us Baptist think that God won’t do something because it’s a different dispensation. The attributes of God doesn’t change.
He is “thou that hearest prayer.” (Psalm 65:2)
He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6)
She came in full assurance of faith that God could give her a child.

16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

“If you trust the Scriptures, you can trust the Sovereign to tackle your situation.”

Conclusion (vs.19-20)

Hannah got her prayer answered!
“remember” - Refers to thinking about something or calling something to mind, especially as a past fact or event.
“God’s delays are not denials.”
987God the Holy Ghost writes our prayers, God the Son presents our prayers, and God the Father accepts our prayers. And with the whole Trinity to help us in it, what cannot prayer perform?—54.342, 343
Charles Spurgeon
Prayer without faith! What sort of prayer is it? It is the prayer of a man who does not believe in God.
Charles Spurgeon
Why would I believe in a God that could not answer my prayer? He already answered the greatest prayer in your life by saving you, there’s nothing that God can’t answer.
