Thanksgiving

1 Timothy 2:1 NKJV
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
1 Timothy 4:4 NKJV
For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving;
2 Corinthians 9:11 NKJV
while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.
Ephesians 5:20 NKJV
giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Colossians 4:2 NKJV
Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;
Psalm 92:1 NKJV
It is good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
1 Chronicles 23:30 NKJV
to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord, and likewise at evening;
Colossians 3:15–17 NKJV
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
I give Thanks for my Salvation, Family, Friends, Church Family, Health, Finances - job, career, education, everything that God has given to me.
Testimony - what would my life be like if I didn’t have Jesus?
I. Give Thanks for Physical Health.
A. Covid-19 virus survivor.
B. Overcoming Hardships & trials.
II. Give Thanks - gratitude for those who help in times o difficulties past & present
2 Thessalonians 1:3–4 NKJV
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other, so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure,
A. Mutual Affection for others & their struggles.
1 Thessalonians 3:12 NKJV
And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you,
B. Affection & Love for the Church.
III. Thankful for my Salvation.
Psalm 50:14 NKJV
Offer to God thanksgiving, And pay your vows to the Most High.
A. Where would I be today without God?
B. Jesus is the Security of my Existence.
C. My Future belongs to Jesus.
Conclusion:
Thanksgiving is about gratitude & appreciation. Jesus brought His disciples into God’s presence. He died for their souls. He wants us to give thanks to Him.
