The Children of God EAGERLY WAIT FOR THE ADOPTION - THE REDEMPTION OF THE BODY (Romans 8:23)

24) but WITH PERSEVERANCE

Note: The context of vv.

26-27 - The SPIRIT HELPS our WEAKNESS (remember Romans 5:6 For when we were still without strength); We are STILL WEAK because we have tuned the flesh toward Sin, so we reach out in our frailty to God who has given us His Spirit

The Children of God - Those that LOVE GOD EXPERIENCE Immediate AND ULTIMATE GOOD (Romans 8:28-30)

Note: Things do not just magically work out TODAY - but even so, you as a believer are EXPERIENCING the GOODNESS of God

Note: The Promise of v. 218 is the ULTIMATE - The ADOPTION - to whit, the REDEMPTION OF THE BODY (v.

23)

Note: Look at the progression, Known THEN predestined to adoption/glorification (see how the resurrection is in view in v. 29) THEN CALLED (purpose and service) HAVING BEEN justified, and ultimately GLORIFIED - This is not a stair step chain, but a total PICTURE of who you are in Christ
