Worthy of the vocation with which you are called
The crash of a catastrophe accident.
Unrecognizable person.
Our faith needs to be the result of that catastrophe.
Catastrophe - an event causing great damage in a disaster.
The illustration of that accident I had back in the early 2000’s
When I went to pick up my belongings, I realize that it was a miracle that I came out alive.
Vive una vida irreconocible.
More than what we can image happened in the Baptism.
I saw a great illustration in the death of Lazarus.
Lazarus had died and had been dead for four days; his cuerpo was in a grave and putrefaction had already started.
It is at this moment the Lord arrives at the scene.
Putrefaction - the process of decay or rotting in the body.
Most if not all where saved near death in our lives.
Sin was already ending the dying life you had obtain.
Then and only then you had a calling.
Like Lazarus....
Then and only then the Lord spoke, saying, “Lazarus, come forth” That was the Lazarus calling.
The power was in the calling.
Hope had evaporated from your life.
He gave you a new meaning in life.
This is what paul means in Ephesians 4.1
When the word (calling) comes in the power of the Holy Spirit.
It is calling our soul from spiritual death to alive in Christ.
“From grave to life”.
Vocation - You don’t take up a vocation, it is something that you are called to do.
The power is in the calling.
Abraham and Sarah though they were over ninety years of age, were enabled to have a son.
It was a calling.
Do you see how important it is to lose yourself?
Ephesians 1.23
You are born again to an unrecognizable person.
Ephesians 2.9
This is where your family that knows you have changed can see it.
Some will make it to church because of your testimony.
Some that have harden their heart to God will say you are just a stuck up person.
The calling chose you to be chosen people.
Royalty status, Sinless nation.
God’s people.
For you have come out of darkness into the light.
You see some of you walked out of the house not matching.
The same happens spiritually.
Your Doctrine and your preach does not match.
Let me simplify it more.
Your faith and your testimony don’t match.
The church needs to walk “worthy of your call”
You did not choose to walk in your call, You are given a call.
John 15:16
After the payment of our life, Christ call us to a calling that Paul says to us: Let your walk be worthy of your calling.
It is a mistery to me how a person regardless who they where, they come back with a complete change.
They come back a military person.
In reality what can the world see in most Christians?
What does Christianity make?
A Mess
When a child is misbehaving at a party, store, restaurant, another house, etc.
Who do we blame the child or the parents?
Conclucion
This year, How will they recognize the family of the Lighthouse?
When we learn to walk as one body.
