This is showing that we are of Him.
The word “one”
We see that this is spoken of a few times,
the Greek word (one) is not different then our English definition of the word.
but it can go a bit deeper.
It also means one part of the body that is working together.
Jesus prays that this happens so that the world will know the Father, Jesus and those who are in Him.

Jesus says that the world does not know Him, but He does and His disciples knew Him.
The world has not know the Father but Jesus known Him, in virtue, and unique relationship
Jesus makes a case for us, to include us apart from the world
Jesus says here that He will make the Father’s name known, and will make it known.
Jesus could be referring to two different things here.
1. Jesus speaks now of the cross, making the Father known through the cross.
The victory in the death of the lamb taking the sin of the world, and executing the plan for the redemption of sin.
2. It also can be the world of the Holy Spirit through the lives of his disciples (including us)
Through our witness, The Father will be made know.
And Jesus will be with them the entire time.
Jesus has included us in His glory, into the Glory of God.
It does not mean that we are gods as all, but we have fellowship in Him.
And to be loved by God Himself.
I believe it is both.
Once we are in Christ, we are part of something new, we no longer are slaves to sin, but the righteousness.
God allows us to partake in eternal comfort and peace with Him that will be for all eternity.
When the Lord prays fro us, He is praying for our relationship with Him, the Father.
He is not praying for maternal things
