Our Father...
Our Father...
“Lord, you have been our dwelling pl-ace in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting YOU ARE GOD.” (Ps. 90:1-2)
We are humbled that we can call you Yahweh, our God and we are your people. We are your and you are ours, mutual belonging because of your covenant that you have established with your people.
More than this, we are your sons and daughters through Jesus Christ, your one of a kind son. He alone is the eternal son and we through adoption based on his perfect life, death, resurrection and his continuing work of intercession. United to him through the Spirit, we are considered what he is before you.
You are not only our Father, but our king and we citizens of your now and coming kingdom. We pray that your kingdom continually come to disrupt the kingdoms of this world, even the direction of our own nation.
Lord, only your kingdom has true peace and the true solutions to the problems we are facing in the world. Abortion is solved as we learn to cherish life that comes from you. Racism is solved as we learn to view people as image bearers of God first and the color of our skin as a gift, not a division or a curse. Greed and selfishness are cured as we are transformed into givers reflecting our King who gave up to his Son to make us citizens. Pride is banished and a humble people is created reflecting King Jesus who humbled himself to the point of death on the cross. This is the kingdom we want to see. Where your values and your ethics are upheld, and shalom is restored to the earth.
Bring that kingdom more and more.

we continue to pray for the recovery of Lily as well, she would be able to recover well and enjoy her health
We continue to pray for the health of the Aleman family as various illnesses have swept through their household
We pray for Claudia that she may recover quickly from her cold
We continue to pray for those of us experiencing back pains
We pray that Adam has fully recovered from his flu that he battled
We pray for parents that you continue to give us wisdom and strength to raise them, to not provoke them to anger but to nurture them in the fear of the Lord
We continue to pray for your will to be done. We pray for wisdom and guidance in our own lives as individuals. We pray for spiritual strength and motivation to take up the means of grace in the Scriptures everyday that we may grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We also pray for wisdom as a people here at the Crossing to know how to serve you by serving our community. We pray for wisdom in sharing the gospel as that is the greatest task that you have left for your church in the Great Commission.
We pray for Russia and Ukraine. We pray that the war would end. We pray that the oppression of Russia would end. We pray that the peace of your kingdom would infect the disease of war as your church in both those countries mobilizes and responds to the crisis of war.
Pardon
Pardon
We pray that also help us understand the gospel more including our own forgiveness of sins from you so that we may learn to forgive others
We pray that those who need to need to confess and repent of sin, particularly among your people, would be granted the grace to do so in order that they may experience the grace of your forgiveness.
Lord, we both sin and are sinned against. Sin in us and sin around us makes us all both victim and victimizer. We all need your forgiveness and you require that we extend that forgiveness to others. You require confession, which is to agree that we have indeed sinned and that we repent, that we continually seek to turn away from sin. Give us the grace we need to both to turn away from sin to be forgiven and the grace we need to forgive others.
Protection
Protection
Finally, we pray for your protection. We pray that you lead us not into temptation and that you continually deliver us from the evil and his schemes. Grant us wisdom and discernment and love for you that when the temptations come we may say, “ I love Jesus more!”
