A Crisis

I don’t know if you’ve been keeping up with what is going on with the elections across the country, but something very disturbing and sinister is afoot, and what we are seeing goes beyond the politics of party and principle but it goes right to the very core of an epic battle between good and evil.
You see, all of the polls either go it flat wrong or there was some serious fraud happening, but that’s not even the insidiousness over which the Holy Spirit is calling us to arms. The fact of the matter is, whether or not there was shenanigans that happened in this election, there were enough people voting for evil to make shenanigans possible in the first place. Now please listen to me. I am not talking about which party is in power. While yes, that’s important as we know and that having the wrong people in positions of leadership could be detrimental to the spiritual well-being of the republic, the reason why this all happened is what is of major importance.
This election, which should have been an epic wave election for the republicans was thwarted by one key issue - abortion. Saints, we celebrated the fact that life and righteousness prevailed in the Supreme Court, sending the question back to the states, but that riled up the supporters of death to rise up and turn out in record numbers that stunned the experts and professional pollsters. In many states abortion itself was on the ballot and that alone brought out the wicked in droves. No matter how bad the economy, no matter how precarious our foreign relations policy is right now, it seems people were more concerned about defending their choice to murder babies than anything else. It’s as if all of the forces of hell rose up and made a grand and horrifying roar. In one state in particular, a most disgusting thing happened. There was a bill that would have given a child who survived a botched abortion, the right to emergency medical treatment rather than to be allowed to die on the table, and the people rejected it!
We won the battle at the Supreme Court when they rule that murdering babies was no longer protected by the federal government, but now that the battle has gone to the states, there is a battle like you wouldn’t believe. Church, this is our battle. These sick individuals are fighting for nothing less than the opportunity to sacrifice children just as in biblical times.
Leviticus 20:2 GW
“Tell the Israelites: If Israelites or foreigners living among you give one of their children as a sacrifice to ⸤the god⸥ Molech, they must be put to death. The common people must stone them to death.
Who is Molech you ask? Molech was a god of the Ammonites. Children were sacrificed to him in an effort to gain favor or advancement. If you would sacrifice your child Molech would favor you with success and ease of living. And it’s no different today. How many women sacrifice their children to Molech in the name of convenience, or in order to not cause financial hardship or derail their careers? This is an abomination before God and the perversity is already upon us.
When God visited Abraham and told him of His plan to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, he was going to do so because the stench of their iniquity had reached all the way to heaven.
Genesis 18:20–21 NKJV
And the Lord said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave, I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.”
Abraham asked God if he would indeed destroy Sodom and Gomorrah if enough righteous people were found there, and God confirmed that He would spare it from destruction if enough righteous people were found in the city.
Genesis 18:32 NKJV
Then he said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten should be found there?” And He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.”
God was hoping to find just 10 righteous people in Sodom and Gomorrah and He would spare the city! Like Sodom and Gomorrah, God is looking for people today to raise up and push back against the enemy’s attacks on the moral fiber of our nation. Unfortunately, a nation always gets the leaders that it deserves. Consider the time that the nation of Israel rejected God as their king, and elected someone else in His place.
1 Samuel 8:1–18 NKJV
Now it came to pass when Samuel was old that he made his sons judges over Israel. The name of his firstborn was Joel, and the name of his second, Abijah; they were judges in Beersheba. But his sons did not walk in his ways; they turned aside after dishonest gain, took bribes, and perverted justice. Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah, and said to him, “Look, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.” But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed to the Lord. And the Lord said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them. According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt, even to this day—with which they have forsaken Me and served other gods—so they are doing to you also. Now therefore, heed their voice. However, you shall solemnly forewarn them, and show them the behavior of the king who will reign over them.” So Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who asked him for a king. And he said, “This will be the behavior of the king who will reign over you: He will take your sons and appoint them for his own chariots and to be his horsemen, and some will run before his chariots. He will appoint captains over his thousands and captains over his fifties, will set some to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and some to make his weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. He will take your daughters to be perfumers, cooks, and bakers. And he will take the best of your fields, your vineyards, and your olive groves, and give them to his servants. He will take a tenth of your grain and your vintage, and give it to his officers and servants. And he will take your male servants, your female servants, your finest young men, and your donkeys, and put them to his work. He will take a tenth of your sheep. And you will be his servants. And you will cry out in that day because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, and the Lord will not hear you in that day.”
God gives nations exactly the leaders that they demand. Israel had good kings and they had really bad kings. Most of the good kings had bad faults. David, despite having a heart like God’s committed adultery and then murder to cover it up. Solomon despite being the wisest man to ever live, foolishly permitted idolatry to take root in Israel, and these two were the best kings Israel had, it just went downhill quickly from there.
Eventually the kingdom would become so divided that it would split into two and would never be able to become what God had intended it to be from the beginning. Church our country is on the verge of the same thing. I am praying that it is not to late to push back the forces of evil that are trying to overrun our nation, and God is calling on his church to step into the fray and to present ourselves in battle array. We’ve become far too dependent on politicians and elections to do the will of God and it’s time for us to pray down fire from heaven to consume the enemies of the Almighty. But in all of this, we must remember who the enemy is. It is not the people who are deceived into voting and advocating for evil.
Ephesians 6:12 NKJV
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Today I am calling us to battle. I am calling us to storm the gates of hell with prayer. After all Jesus said,
Matthew 16:18 NKJV
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
Yeshua told Peter that His church would be so mighty that the very gates of hell would be unable to stand against it. Church, today I’m asking you to pray. Pray like your life depended on it, because in many ways it does. Your way of life as you know it is in jeopardy if God doesn’t intervene now. Pray for the following:
That God would forgive our sins and heal our land.
That God would thwart the deception of the enemy and open the eyes of the people to see the truth.
That all the unrighteousness that has been committed by our leaders in secret, would be exposed to the whole world.
That a revival would break out across this nation and...
That righteousness would take possession of our nation
Let us pray.
