Sick/Wicked Heart Jer 17:9 means disgustingly unpleasant, evil, and incurable or beyond cure of itself.

Romans 3:10 none Righteous, no not one

Genesis 8:21 for the intent of man’s heart is evil from his youth.

What we have covered so far is this:

From birth/conception, we have original sin IMPUTED upon us. Because of Adam and Eve’s sin, we are born with original sin and a sin nature.

*The best example of this:

I have dealt with this many times, when a mother is hooked on crack cocaine or methamphetamine and uses these drugs during pregnancy the infant is usually hooked on the drug and has to go through detoxification.

Babies are innocent is the wrong statement or question!!

ARE THEY BORN GUILTY BECAUSE OF ADAMS SIN? ARE THEY PUNISHED BY GOD FOR ADAMS SIN? Go back to the crack baby example.

Is the child guilty for its mothers addiction? Would a court charge the baby with a crime because he/she was born with a drug nature?

No! they will be punished for their own transgressions!

PART TWO:

THE AGE OF ACCOUNTABILITY OR BETTER WORDED (THE AGE OF RESPONSIBILITY)

Romans 14:9-12 an account of themselves! Not for Adam’s sin or Eve’s or Moms or dads! themselves!

*Can a two year old killed in an auto accident give an account of himself?

* Can a mental ill individual do the same?

This leads us to a question? How old does one have to be to be able to give an account to God?

**When a child comes to understand that they have sinned against God and deserve punishment due to their sins, then and only then can they give an account of their wrongdoings.

this is why we reference them being as being “accountable” (to give an account for THEIR SIN) OR “responsible” (able to respond to Christ’s appeal)

John 12:48 We will be judged individually by the words/commandments Jesus has given to us.

Also in Isa 7:16

Isaiah foretold of the Messiah’s coming he spoke of a boy that “will know enough to refuse evil and choose good”!

this suggesting that there is a time in the child’s life he remains without enough knowledge to make accountable moral choices.

Ezek 18:20 we are not GUILTY of our parents sin or Adam’s.
