1 John 5:8
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
“the Trinity is composed of three united Persons without separate existence—so completely united as to form one God. The divine nature subsists in three distinctions—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the one true God: who is an intelligent, sovereign, spiritual and personal Being; perfect, infinite, and eternal in His being, holiness and love, wisdom and power; absolutely separate from and above the world as its Creator, yet everywhere present in the world as the Upholder of all things. He is revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, three distinct persons but without division of nature, essence or being, and each having a distinct ministry in God’s relation to His creation and people. Genesis 1:1; Exodus 15:11; Psalm 83:18; 139:79; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; 15:26.

God’s Nature

God is a Spirit
John 4:24
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
He is unchangeable
Malachi 3:6
6 For I am the Lord, I change not; Therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Man tests existence through experiences and translates that into imperial data that records tangibly. Therefore, it should be no surprise that disagreements come when describing the nature of a Being that humanity cannot physically experience and wrap into a lovely spreadsheet for a fancy presentation.

God’s Absolute Attributes

God’s Essence is Spirit

God is Self-existing

John 5:26
26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
John 1:4
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
John 1:10
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

Immutable

James 1:17
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

God’s imminence

means that God is actively involved in the everyday happenings of this world.
Exodus 14:21
21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
Matthew 1:20–23
20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

God is Truth

John 4:24
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 17:3
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Hebrews 6:18
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

God’s Unity

“It means that God is not composite and is not susceptible of division in any sense of the word.”
Deuteronomy 6:4
4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:
Ephesians 4:6
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
1 Corinthians 8:6
6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
1 Timothy 2:5
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

God is Love

1 John 4:8
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

God is Holy

Isaiah 6:3
3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: The whole earth is full of his glory.
Leviticus 11:44–45
44 For I am the Lord your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 45 For I am the Lord that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

God is Good

Psalm 100:5
5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; And his truth endureth to all generations.

Psalm 143:10
