What do you want to hear when you wake up in the honeymoon suite?

I can tell you what you don’t want to hear
Bleary eyed see dad fighting with husband
Biblical intro to Leah- Genesis 29:17
Genesis 29:17 (NIV)
Leah had weak eyes, but Rachel had a lovely figure and was beautiful.
Shadow of stunningly beautiful Rachel
Dad didn’t want her (not little princess or precious little girl)
Jacob didn’t want her, not woman of dreams, longed for him to look at her like he looks at Rachel
Like so many of us, all she ever wanted was to be LOVED, DESIRED, WANTED
More complicated- dad agreed to let Jacob marry Rachel after week long honeymoon
See ugliness in Genesis 29:30
Genesis 29:30 (NIV)
his love for Rachel was greater than - his love for Leah.
Dagger pierced heart, insecurity and pain recorded for all time
Have you been Leah
Last one picked
Spent Life trying to win affection and approval but never good enough
Live in shadows of the Rachels of the world
Genesis 29:31 NIV
When the Lord saw that Leah was not loved, he enabled her to conceive, but Rachel remained childless.
