Unconditional Election - means that in eternity past, God predestined some to heaven & others to hell. UE
Limited Atonement - means that Jesus only died for the predestined "elect" and no one else. (LA).
Irresistible Grace - means that when God elects one to be saved, that person cannot resist salvation. (IG).
Perseverance of the saints - We don't persevere to keep ourselves saved. Christ keeps us saved.

Calvinism puts the "elect” in Christ in eternity past. In the Bible, believers are put in Christ when we are saved.

to say the "elect" were ordained (Gk: tetagmenoi from Tasso) to eternal life before the foundation of the world. Tasso" means they were THEN disposed and determined to take the Gift of eternal life by the Holy Spirit influencing their hearts.
It is not diatasso, protasso or proorizo.

They are reading sovereign personal election & reprobation into a passage teaching national election of Israel to service & God disciplining them for their sins.
