Are You Builting on the Rock?

I. We Are to Built Upon the Rock Our Lord Christ Jesus

A. King David Said that His Rock Is the Lord

Ps 18:2 “2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.”

B. Can It Be Said of You Like Peter That God Will Build His Church Upon You, Because You Live Your Life Built Upon the Rock Christ Jesus

Mat 16:18 “18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

II. We Are to Dig Deep and Lay Our Foundation on the Rock Christ Jesus and the Word of God

A. If We Come to Jesus. Hear Jesus’ Word, and Do Them, You Will Be Like the Man Who Built Dig Deep and Built His His House Upon the Rock

B. If We Do, Then When the Floods and Stream Beat Upon Us, We Will Not Be Shaken

Lu 6:47-48 “47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: 48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.”

III. If You Hear and Don’t Follow Jesus’ Words, Your House Will Be Ruined

A. You Are Foolish, If You Do Not Hear and Do What Jesus Says

Mat 7:25-26 “25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:”

Lu 6:49 “49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”

C. All That Drink the Same Spiritual Drink and Follow the Spiritual Rock Which is Christ

I Cor 10:4 “4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.”
