The Resurrected Body
Analogy of the seed - what was placed in the ground dies and something new springs forth.
This new thing though is a continuation of the seed.
Dissolved in death, changed by resurrection, Continued in eternal life
We have a resurrected body that is fitted for the resurrection life.
God creates what is suitable for His creation
There is development or progression in life.
As we have inherited a physical body from Adam, in Christ, we inherit a spiritual body that fits who Christ has made us to be.
We are a new creation.
In His Likeness
Our present body is corruptible, torn between its allegiance to the flesh and to the Lord.
Our new body is clothed in honor and righteousness.
We are clothed in the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
What God had reign over in part is now given over to fully.
We move from corruption, dishonor and weakness to glory, honor and power, the same as Christ.
Through the Spirit, we embark on perfect worship, perfect service and perfect love for the attributes of God are able to move freely in and through us in their fullness.
No obstacles remain.
Death is Defeated
We become so encapsulated by the details, we miss the point, we have inherited the promise.
Death is defeated and we have been made new.
Just as we can trust that the Lord has finished it all on the cross, we can trust that what is yet to come is fully handles in every detail.
We can trust that God has not lacked in any details in the fulfilment of His promise.
So let this truth propel us to proclaim and boldly stand in the truth.
Death has no hold.
Our lives here are a foretaste of what is to come.
So let us labor with all the more fervency because our labor is not in vain.
