2 Tim 4:1-8

2 Timothy 4:1–8 KJV
1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
2 Timothy 4:7 TPT
7 I have fought an excellent fight. I have finished my full course and I’ve kept my heart full of faith.
The Ingredients For a Full Proof Ministry.

Looking back over his life, the apostle offered a remarkable description few could honestly echo

Good Fight:
1 Timothy 6:12 TPT
12 So fight with faith for the winner’s prize! Lay your hands upon eternal life, for this is your calling—celebrating in faith before the multitude of witnesses!
Hebrews 11:6 KJV
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
2. Finished Race.
Acts 20:24 KJV
24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
3. Kept the faith.
2 Timothy 1:14 KJV
14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

As a result of his faithfulness to duty Paul had no fear of facing the Lord, the righteous Judge, but only anticipation of reward in the form of a crown

of righteousness which was already waiting in store for him. “Crown of righteousness” can mean either that righteousness itself is the crown or reward, or that this crown is the reward for righteousness

James 1:12 KJV
12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Revelation 2:10 KJV
10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
1–2 Timothy & Titus The Reward for Faithfulness (4:8)

The crown he envisions is the wreath awarded to the victor

In other words He Got That!!
