Truth versus 2—Deception Versus Truth ( “Deception versus Truth.” that renouncing Satanws_39;s deception and affirming faith in the truth of God’s Word is the second step to freedom in Christ.
Lead the group in reading aloud in unison the prayer from the handout, which begins, “Dear Heavenly Father, I know that You desire truth in the inner self …” Read aloud or relate in your own words the following paragraph: Deception is the most subtle of all satanic strongholds.
Have you ever noticed that all people with addictive behavior lie to themselves and others almost continuously?
The alcoholic lies about his drinking, the anorexic lies about her eating, and the sex offender lies about his behavior.
Lying is an evil defense prompted by the father of lies, Satan (John 8:44).…
Faith is the biblical response to the truth, and believing the truth is a choice.
When someone says, “I want to believe God, but I just can’t,” he or she is being deceived.
Of course you can believe God! Faith is something you decide to do, not something you feel like doing.…
Your faith is only as great as your knowledge of the object of your faith.
If you have little knowledge of God and His Word, you will have little faith.…
The path of truth begins with the truth of God’s Word.
Believe the truth and walk by faith according to what you believe, and then your feelings will line up with what you think and how you behave

Exodus 20:16 “You shall not witness falsely against your neighbour.
Suppressing the truth is done by judges who do not fear God.93.
ἀδικία adikía; gen.
adikías, fem.
noun from ádikos (94), unjust.
Injustice.
What is not conformable with justice, what ought not to be, that which is wrong.
Related to ádikos (94), unjust, that which is out of harmony with díkē, established usage, what is right and fit, hence injustice, unrighteousness.
There is adikía only because there is alḗtheia (225), truth, which occupies the place of díkē, justice.
In 1 John 5:17, it is written that “all unrighteousness [adikía] is sin [hamartía (266)].”
(See also 1 John 3:4.)
Whatever does not meet God’s justice is missing God’s goal for us.
What is wrong in man’s relationship to man is also wrong in man’s relationship to God.
The result of adikía, unrighteousness, is adíkēma (92), evil doing (Acts 18:14).
(I) Wrong, injustice.
(A) Generally as in Luke 18:6, the unjust judge or literally the judge of injustice, meaning the judge to whom people accused of injustice are brought.
The character of this judge is detailed in Luke 18:2 as one who did not fear God nor regard man.
In Rom.
9:14, an axiomatic statement is made concerning God that there is no unrighteousness with Him, which means that He cannot treat anyone unjustly (Sept.: Deut.
32:4).
25 Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another
