James 5:12-20 | 1st Century Ecclesiology

This week James closes his letter abruptly. After emphasizing the core of his theology (the synergy of faith and works), he proceeds to give some concrete examples of it at work in the church among those he identifies in the text as “brothers and sisters”. His closing words are for the Church; and how she proves her faith in her actions, decisions, and behaviors.
