1. Spiritual Death
When they ate, their eyes were open and their spiritual relationship with God was closed.
Their conscience, for the first time was exposed to evil.
They would become - AWARE - of something they were never aware of before - THE CONSEQUENCE OF EVIL
At this point they had not known evil - why b/c everything that God made was good.
