WORSHIP
7 Declarations of Thankful Living
These declarations will simply guide you into a place of thanksgiving for our God. Say them out loud and allow them to usher you into his presence with thanksgiving and into his court with praise.
Make this Declaration of Faith come alive this morning
1. I give thanks to the LORD for he is good and his loving kindness is everlasting (1 Chronicles 16:34, Psalm 106:1)
2. I will give thanks to the LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all his wonderful deeds (Psalm 9:1).
3. Thank you God for your unfailing love and your wonderful deeds to mankind, for you satisfy the thirsty and you fill the hungry with good things (Psalm 107:8-9).
4. Thank you God for you are LORD and you the great God, the great King above all gods. (Psalm 95:2-3).
5. Thank you God for giving me your grace in Christ Jesus. For in Christ I am enriched in every way – with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge- (1 Corinthians 1:4-5)
6. Thank you God for every good things you created (1 Timothy 4:4-5)

Key Points:

Spiritual Warfare
You are engaged in a warfare
2 Corinthians 10:3 ESV
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.
This is not the only place we see the “waging war” mentioned.
Romans 8:4 NIV
4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Weapons are always important when it comes to war.
2 Corinthians 10:4 NLT
*We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.
Paul is talking about a NEW WEAPON—
to breakdown the devils strongholds.
The word of God and
Praying in the power of the Holy Spirit.
What are the “devils strongholds”?
2 Corinthians 10:5 NLT
We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.
“REBELLIOUS THOUGHTS”
Teach them to be Obedient to Christ!
Thoughts — Thoughts are powerful…
they are powerful to help us and they are powerful to harm us.
The Bible says….
Proverbs 23:7 (NLT)
as a man thinks so is he…
We live with a powerful entity— OUR SELF!
Our SOUL is powerful— we are never alone.’
People carry on conversations with themselves,
write notes to themselves, and
what you think about something can be defeat or victory for you and your life.
So, what do you think about?
Are you judgmental?
Do you Like Yourself thinking God made you wonderful or do you think God made a mistake?
When you’re alone what are your thoughts??
What have you been talking to yourself about
Isaiah 26:3 NLT
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
Application
We can find ourselves wishing about everything, but what we need is to be PRAYING ABOUT EVERYTHING! NOT THINKING ABOUT WHAT IT SHOULD BE!
MAYBE YOU DON’T THINK GOD CARES?
James 4:2 NLT
2 You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it.
GOD WAS BUSY WHEN WE DIDN’T EVEN KNOW IT
Romans 8:7–9 NLT
For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)
Colossians 1:21–22 NLT
This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.

Make it personal

We Pray to ASK.
Matthew 7:1 NLT
1 “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.
Matthew 7:8 NLT
8 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
We Pray to INTERCEDE.
Romans 12:15 NLT
15 Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep.
Galatians 6:2 NLT
2 Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.
We Pray to STAND.
Colossians 4:2 NLT
2 Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.
Ephesians 6:18 NLT
18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
Jude 20–21 NLT
20 But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, 21 and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.
