Jezebel was never the problem. Elijah's challenge was his expectations, and in the problem of his lost of focus, and in his turning to his own strategy.

It is very important when trying to understanding the bible, is that you consider the last chapter .
its unfair for someone to arrive in your life and attempt to involves themselves with who you are and what you are without considering the last chapter.
alot of times in our own lives we make priorites and decisions based on this chapter but we dont resolve and reconcil what happened in the last chapter.
in order to move deeper into this you need to start thinking about what just happened to you.
If you dont consider the last chapter, your going to disrespect this one, and sometimes when the last chapter is brutal or harsh,
when you get to the next chapter you miss very crititcal information abut what god is doing or saying in your life.
And I understand that ignoring the last chapter can medicate something in your, and
it make you think if you ignore, or abandoned the previous season will be able to better focus on this one, but its an deception.
in order to appreciate, properly understand and take manage of this chapter of my life, you have to revisit the last.
and in this passage what makes this passage so powerful is not chapter 19.
what makes this story so powerful is what happened in charpter 17 and 18.
And so if you dont look at the details of the subsequent 2 chapters you miss exactly what why happen in this chapter is important.
When we look at Elijah, we re not really given alot of information about his childhood,
we are introduced to him in chapter 17 where he tells the the King of Israel, King Ahab that there will be no rain for the next few years.
Now this may not seem significant to you, but in this time farming and agriculture was a big thing, it was how they feed theirselves, it was how medicine was made
it was how they made their money, and if you every want to get somebody turned up, mess with that money.
and so after telling Ahab about the drought,
the Lord send Elijah to Hide in the Kerith Ravine,
