LETS PRAY

Father we love you and thank you for who you are, we ask that you speak to us day through your word, we open our hearts and lives, praying that you have your way in us. Bless your people today in Jesus name Amen.

John 14:6 NKJV

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

We are a Hospital, we are a Family and we are in an Army

The church is a place for people to come, find Jesus, get set free, healed and made whole.

People can find a place where they belong (find a family)

We get to a place of maturity, where we can function in the Army of God

Remember we are the church it is not the building (Monday to Saturday)

Healthy people grow, we need to help people mature, get a foundation. We need to see people move from the hospital, to the family and to function in Gods army.

REMEMBER ONE WAY JESUS

John 11:17–27 NKJV

17 So when Jesus came, He found that he had already been in the tomb four days. 18 Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles away. 19 And many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother. 20 Now Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met Him, but Mary was sitting in the house. 21 Now Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You.” 23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” 27 She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”

Proverbs 3:5–6 NKJV

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

We are supposed to move from the hospital, to the family and to function in Gods army.

THE CHURCH IS A HOSPITAL

Keep Jesus at the center! Read your Bible, spend time in prayer, make your relationship with Jesus a priority and watch your life transform.

People don’t quit if they only have one option. The main reason people quit is that they have an alternate plan in mind. But that very thing you are holding onto is holding you down and preventing you from going up. If you’re going to live by faith, you must cut the ropes to option B! Satan is trying to weaken your determination to keep going. You must make the decision today to cut the rope to plan B and stick to God’s plan.

Acts 27:29–32 NIV

29 Fearing that we would be dashed against the rocks, they dropped four anchors from the stern and prayed for daylight. 30 In an attempt to escape from the ship, the sailors let the lifeboat down into the sea, pretending they were going to lower some anchors from the bow. 31 Then Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay with the ship, you cannot be saved.” 32 So the soldiers cut the ropes that held the lifeboat and let it drift away.

Get rid of your Plan B

Jesus is the only way

Cut the rope and trust in God - It can be scary to do this, Jesus can set you free.

2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.

NOSE FLIES

In the summertime, flies bother sheep. The worst are nose flies which buzz around a sheep’s head trying to lay eggs in the sheep’s nose.

The hovering flies can cause sheep to panic and run wildly. This sort of activity can ruin their meat and milk, and may result in injury or death.

If the fly is successful, in a few days, larvae will hatch and burrow into the soft flesh of the sheep’s nasal passages.

This causes irritation, inflammation and infection.

The pain will cause the sheep to rub its head on the ground, thrash through underbrush and even bang its head on tree trunks attempting to get rid of the intruders.

In severe cases, a sheep may kill itself trying to get away from the pain.

If the sheep manages to survive, the infection caused by the larvae can cause it to go blind.

Because of the seriousness of the problems caused by nose flies, shepherds must be extremely attentive. They would watch for the first indication of nose flies and then apply a natural repellent made of olive oil and strongly scented, medicinal essential oils.

Question: Are you struggling with the same old things that you have always struggled with?

Question: Have you ever wondered why you keep getting the same results?

Looking in the wrong direction

You can be in the right place but you can be looking in the direction

Ezekiel 8:16 NKJV

16 So He brought me into the inner court of the Lord’s house; and there, at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the temple of the Lord and their faces toward the east, and they were worshiping the sun toward the east.

Genesis 13:10 NKJV

10 And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar.

Romans 12:2 NKJV

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

19 Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver.

Key Points:

Remember where you started.

When you feel like quitting, remember all that God has done for you and keep fighting.

Cut the rope to plan B and see where God takes you instead.

Don’t abandon the ship.

The Word of God is safer than your lifeboat. If God said you are going to make it, you will!

You do not have to have a plan B when you have a word from God.

There is only one way to be saved.

Plan B is not the answer and it will not work out.

There is only one way to receive God’s promise.

You can be in the right place but face the wrong direction.

Going to church is great but if you have one foot in and one foot out, you are weak.

You cannot claim to be a Christian and live however you want.

You will never see all that God has for you.

Final Thoughts:

Option B will not lead you to life.

Unless you stay on the ship, you will not be safe.

You must live so that another life is not even attractive to us.

Cut the rope to your past today and choose faith in God.
