What Is Our Soul Purpose?

Let’s think about that carefully! In the O.T. the book of Ecclesiastes, is a good go to book on the O.T. purpose of man.
Let’s be honest, one day, in a moment of time, we came into existence and it took some time before we even knew that!
God, in His Greatness, has assigned each of us our lot in life-like it or not! Some people are born into a life of care free and wealth. Where as, some are born into poverty and hardship.
Solomon was given, by God, wisdom that no man ever had or ever will receive like he did. This is a good starting point to try and grasp the Soul Purpose of being Born-Lived-Died from the O.T. perspective.
Note; this isn’t an exhaustive look into Solomon's life as read in the book of Ecclesiastes. But instead, skimming the surface, on just some of Solomon's wisdom about being Born-Lived-Died

When God Created,Out of Nothing, the Heavens and Earth, And Knew Us Before Time Began Gen 1:1

Ephesians 1:4 NASB 95
just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love
Also in Matt 25:34, Dt 7:6, Ps 135:4, Isa 41:8, show how God already knew of His chosen people.
God Almighty started His Creation with saved and unsaved people in mind. He already knew those who would be His chosen people, way before He Created, out of nothing, the Heavens and the Earth!
The first this God created was;
Time-then,
Light & Darkness-Then,
Heavens, He called Light & Darkness-Then,
Earth
Born
Solomon said,”All is vanity and striving after wind.” Eccl 1
Let’s start here-imagine having the ability to understand, as a child, the wisdom of Solomon before moving forward in time.
Would we truly do good?
Would we seek God knowing our end?
Would there be a life lived in peace & carefree harmony?
The Fall says otherwise Gen 3
Lived
Solomon knows what having plenty is like, and too God gave Solomon such wisdom for all of us to ponder in how to live the life God has given!
Best advise from Solomon, other than to fear God and know we all will be judged at the Great Judgement Day, is to eat and drink and enjoy oneself in all one’s labor…during the few years of his life which God has given him;
“For this is his reward.” Eccl 5:18-20
Solomon said, “What ever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might;
Because he says, “for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol where you are going.” Eccl 9:10 m
Go then, “eat your bread in happiness and drink your wine with a cheerful heart;”
“For God has already approved your works”
“Let your clothes be white all the time”
“Enjoy life with the women whom you love all the days of your fleeting life…your labors…this is your reward under the Sun.” Eccl 9:7-9
Solomon, again said, “Remember also your creator in the days of your youth”
But also said, before the days come and years draw near when you will say, “I have no delight in them”Eccl 12:1
Solomon remind the young to Rejoice during your childhood, and let your heart be pleasant during the days of your young manhood
He also said, “And follow the impulses of your heart and the desires of your eyes”
But he warns,”Yet know that God will bring you to judgement for all these things.”
Then finally says, “So remove grief and anger from your heart and put away pain from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting.”
Died
Solomon concludes 12 chapters later;
He said,”When all is heard, ‘Fear God and keep His Commandments, because this applies to every person.”
He also said,”For God will bring every act to Judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.” Eccl 12:14

The Rapture

This is a time that hasn’t happened yet-it will happen in time!
Our Generation maybe the one in time to be on earth when it does happen-but Christians have not just vanished in a twinkling of an eye

The Mark of the Beast

This is a time that hasn't happened and yet -it will happen in time!
It maybe in the works, but the choice for the Mark-the if you don’t receive the Mark of the Beast or die hasn’t started in our time yet!
11314 That God appears at time’s beginning is not too difficult to comprehend, but that he appears at the beginning and end of time simultaneously is not so easy to grasp. Time is known to us by a succession of events.… Changes take place not all at once but in succession, one after the other, and it is the relation of “after” to “before” that gives us our idea of time.… God is not compelled so to wait. For him everything that will happen has already happened.
A. W. Tozer
 3   We are all the time -coming to the end of things here—the end of the week, the end of the month, the end of the year, the end of school days. It is end, end, end all the time. But, thank God, He is going to satisfy us with long life; no end to it, an endless life.
Dwight L. Moody
