One can be struck by the way in which Habakkuk is a prophet who does not instruct his critique of injustice first at the leaders of Judah but first to God for letting it happen in the first place. Habakkuk is honest and raw, God responds, and the argument continues.
One could be drawn to the way in which Habakkuk’s honesty is a true expression of faith that leads to a vision for a world beyond injustice and beyond violence of the nations that than allows for a stubborn hope and trust in God
