This week, we celebrate the 2nd Sunday of Advent, and we reflect on the great anticipation of God’s people who longed for the coming of the Messiah. They were so anxious, waiting for the One who would show them the way out of their darkness. During Advent, we try to imagine ourselves waiting as they waited, anticipating as they anticipated. I have Good News of Great Joy for you this morning: He Came. He is Coming Again. Luke 21:25-28 “...there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.

This sounds like BAD news!

This sounds like most of history.

This sounds like SALVATION!
