We should focus not on our trouble or victimhood, but on God's victory in our lives. The mourning shall be comforted, and the meek shall inherit the earth. The closer we get to God, the more wretched we know ourselves to be; internalizing this leads to meekness, which is precious to God. When we grow in Him, we also grow in capability; in our meekness, we become mighty men and women of God! This meekness is power restrained, in obedience to God... as people witness this, it brings glory to Him!
