FOCUS (the core of the content to be communicated)
When I was a kid, one of my favorite cartoons was “The Jetsons.”
One of my favorite scenes appeared in every episode at the end as the credits rolled.
George Jetson’s dog Astro winds up trapping him on their dog walking treadmill that’s spinning out of control as he’s running for his life unable to jump off.
What does George do?
He screams for help (“HELP!
HELP! JANE, STOP THIS CRAZY THING!
JANE … HELP … JANE!”).
Life is filled with moments when we feel like George on that treadmill all the while knowing it’s no cartoon, it’s real life “as it is, not as [we] would have it to be.”
Today we’re going to hear one of Paul’s “but God” statements that affirms His power & presence / awareness & ability / comfort & kindness / greatness & grace.
God will …
1. help us every single day.
As He did with Paul, the Lord helps each of His own every single day.
- Acts 26:22
2. never leave us or forsake us.
God keeps keeping His promise to be with us.
- Joshua 1:5 / Matthew 1:23
Making It Real
1] On a scale of 1 to 10, what’s your experience with God’s daily help?
2] How does knowing this strengthen your confidence in God’s daily help?
Action Step
Write down at least 5, if not 10 or more, ways you know God has helped you.
Thank Him for them & ask Him for the opportunity to share them this week.
