FOCUS (the core of the content to be communicated)
The audacity of God’s love (audacious in every good & right way it can be, that is) along with the reality of His desire & ability to give us eternal life so we won’t die an eternal death dead in our sin is how we will end this sermon series.
Sounds good, doesn’t it?
Who but God (see what I did there) could do such a thing?
It’s the heart of the great story He conceived, created, & composed concerning which He has carried through.
He’s the one who made & came looking for us not unlike how He did with the naked & ashamed Adam & Eve.
He pursued us long before we pursued Him.
With you I want to know God for who He truly is & to live the way He deeply desires & intensely intends for us to live.
Real growth continues to happen through a series of experiences & events that He ordains.
Oh to know Him better & more.
May today’s message wrap up this “But God” series in a way we’ll never forget.
Jesus Christ …
1. died for us while we were still powerless sinners dead in our sin.
This is how God demonstrated His love for us.
- Romans 5:6-8 / Colossians 2:13
2. is the One through whom the gift of eternal life is given.
God the Father’s free gift is eternal life through His Son. - Romans 6:23 / John 20:30-31
Making It Real
1] How clear is this to you?
How will you celebrate it in the days ahead?
2] How can Romans 6:23 be used to share the gospel compellingly & with clarity?
Action Step
Memorize Romans 6:23.
Write out how you would share your faith in Christ
using the built in outline it includes (the difference between sin & death / God’s gift & life).
