Maturity does not merely seek to understand who Christ is, or even who you are as a believer. Maturity finds its full expression when the believer fulfills their God-given role

Turn with me to I Peter 4:7-11 Five Attributes of a Church Member I. First Attribute is to be Sensible(sober)(Vs. 7) Now is the time to Guard our mind from the ways of the World The time is coming and now is that men will No longer tolerate sound doctrine II Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but having itching ears, they shall heap to themselves teachers in accordance with their own lusts. And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned toward fables. They Go Where their ears can be tickled Where Tradition is what dominates Not the Word of God Romans 12:2-3
And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. For I say to every man that is among you, through the grace given unto me, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. II. Second Attribute is to be Prayerful(Vs. 7) "be awake in prayers" be careful that you lift up your hearts with your hands to God that you pray for such things as are agreeable to the revealed will of God that you pray in faith, and lift up holy hands without wrath and doubting I Timothy 2:8 It is my will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting. and watch for the Spirit of God to enlarge your hearts in prayer and to assist you both as to the matter and manner of praying III. Third Attribute is to be Lovable(Loving)(Vs. 8) As brothers in Christ As Children of the King As part of the Family of God Jesus said, John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples: if ye have love one for another." Multitude of sins
not a man=s own sins, but the sins of others only the blood and righteousness of Christ cover sins since charity, or true love, thinks no ill But seeks to build up the brethren I Cor. 13:4-5 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up; doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; IV.
