Backsliding begins with indifference because indifference destroys dedication. The attitude of “do just enough to get by” has hurt God’s work more than one may realize. The people in this church were living indifferent Christian lives.

Christ has no need for indifferent workers. The only cure for indifference is dedication. The Laodicean church members had this dedication, but became indifferent. If we loses God’s touch upon our lives, we will inevitably have a negative impact upon others—leading them astray.
