Call His Name Jesus

Luke 1:30  And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

To begin with Brothers and Sisters, Christian Friends, Well Wishers, and Saints of God it give me a great honor and a plum pleasing privilege to talk about the Incarnate conception of Jesus. The text says Call His Name Jesus. When you can’t call on nobody else you can call on Jesus.

Can I tell the story.It all started in the beginning before the beginning ever began. There was a question that came up in heaven. Who will go down and redeem mankind from their sins. Since Adam messed up, somebody has to be the blood atoning sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. And the book of Revelations says that Jesus was as a Lamb that had been slain before the foundations of the world. Yes indeed, Jesus Christ the Messiah said Father send Me I’ll go and redeem man back. I’ll go and pay the price. I’ll be the propitiation that stands in mankind’s place and redeem him back to the Father. And long story short God the Father said Alright My Son, but when you go,I’ve got to give you a baby’s body for 33 years with 10,000 blessing to satisfy the poor and then you can go back this time as Jesus the Christ. Teach Me Pastor!

Call His Name Jesus.

And the bible says in Luke 1:31 And thou shall call His name Jesus. Long story short again, Jesus had been prophesied to come into the world to be the Messiah In Genesis In Exodus Leviticus Numbers Deuteronomy. Listen Abraham met Him and paid tithes of all that he had to the King of Salem Melchizedek,That was Jesus. Moses talk about Him and said another greater prophet is coming and ye shall hear Him. Joshua Moses’ successor his name means Salvation, Isaiah said for unto us a child is born, and a son is given, Micah talked about Him and said out of Bethlehem comes a prophet in the name of the Lord. And many others because this is a long story that has to be cut short.

And so now we find that God have chosen Mary. The bible says in verse 28 that Mary was highly Favored by God to be the bearer of God’s only begotten Son. Can’t nobody tell God who to give Favor to.

Tell your neighbor: Favor ain’t Fair but it’s Righteous.

Mary is the Theotika meaning the bearer or carrier of God’s Son. The Arch Angel Gabriel visited Mary and said You’re blessed and highly Favored and God the Father has chosen you for a great work.

And Mary pondered those things in her heart that Angel Gabriel spoke to her about. Gabriel is and arch Angel. There are at least 4 Arch Angels up in heaven you got Micheal, Raphael, Uriel and Gabriel and they carry out the wishes of the Almighty God.

The Angel Gabriel said in verse 31 Mary you’re going to conceive and bring forth a Son and shall call His name Jesus.

Call His Name Jesus

Gabriel proceeds to tell Mary that Jesus shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Brothers and sisters That’s a powerful proclamation, because it says to the teenager Mary, that God has chosen you for something greater than yourself. And often times brothers and sisters God chooses us for something greater than our own selves. God fixes us for service. God equips us to do the work of the ministry. And sometimes the Lord will give you an assignment that you’re not qualified for. And you know in your heart that you don’t have the skill set for that assignment. But church I’m here to tell you if God gives you a vision He will make the Provision, you just stick with Him and watch God bring it to pass…

And Mary is engaged to Joseph, and Mary is a faithful girl. Yeah 3x She’s not out there in the streets, She’s not running around. She’s not clowning around, no no no She’s a holy young lady. And let me say this to the young people here “Ain’t nothing wrong with being a holy young lady and ain’t nothing wrong with being a holy young man”.

Story goes that Mary is very disturbed by Gabriel’s statements. The bible says in verse 34. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? Mr. Angel Gabriel, I don’t see how that’s going to happen, because I know not a man.That’s what verse 34 says right? But! She had a finance’ named Joseph right? So she knew a man but that ain’t what she talking about. Mary is making a declaration that she was a virgin and had not been touched by any man.

And that mean’s that she was a pure vessel that God could use. We’ve got to be pure vessels that God can use today. And Mary has a valid point, meaning it’s legit. Mary has veracity in her statement meaning it’s the truth and Mary has virtue in her constitution meaning that she is pure. And Mary says Mr. Angel Gabriel, I don’t see how this can happen because I’m clean I’m pure and I’m whole and I’m not married yet.

Gabriel says in verse

35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

This is called the Incarnate Conception. Meaning Jesus came down through 42 generation through the blood line of David. Jesus is the Monogenes God Meaning The Unique One of a Kind God, The Monogenes who is 100% man and 100% God at the same time the Only Begotten of the Father who therefore is our all sufficient savior.

And then the text seemingly out the blue insets Elisabeth and Zachariah’s story . Because Gabriel let’s Mary know that her cousin is pregnant. Look at verse 36. And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing shall be impossible. This was to show Mary that Nothing is impossible with God..

Tell your neighbor: God can do anything.

 And Mary said,in verse 38 “Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word”. Not according to what Raymond Allen said, not according to what the deacons or the deaconesses said not according to what the choir said not according to what the Ushers said and not according to what anybody in the pews said, But Mr. Angel Gabriel you speak for God and according to your word I believe the report of the Lord. How many people believe the report of the Lord? And the angel departed from her.

Speaking like a skeptic Mary could have dismissed the supernatural encounter with the Arch Angel Gabriel. Yeah because the skeptic has said in his heart that there is no God. This is something that you either believe it or you don’t. I believe in the Incarnate Conception of Jesus Christ the Messiah. Because if Mary didn’t believe then God would have to had to choose a different person. I’m going somewhere with this because “How many times have God chosen us for something and we reject that it’s really God talking to us”?

There was a story about a Christian woman who lived in doubt and fear and disbelief and disobedience. And when she died she went to heaven. And God took her to a big room, and in this room she saw all kinds of presents and gifts and prizes. She said “Lord who are of these presents for”? The Lord said they were for you, 2x A ton of times I tried to give you blessing after blessing but you didn’t have the Faith to receive the many manifold blessing that I the Lord had in store for you.

Church Mary the theotika accepted her blessing and her Name is remembered throughout History as the Mary the Mother of God.

I pray that we have the courage to believe God for the great blessing that He has in store for the Pilgrim Baptist Church.

Mary believed the Arch Angel Gabriel. And I too believe that All things are possible with God. I just believe that we’re going to make it.

Tell Somebody we gon make it. Well the next part of the text say that Mary goes to her cousin Elisabeth home and when she gets there Elisabeth’s baby boy started leaping in her belly and Baby John got the Holy Ghost and Mary and Elisabeth praised and the Lord. And then Mary sang her celebration song. Everybody in here ought to have your own song, and you say that’s my song!!

Look at Luke 1:46  Then Mary said, “My soul doth magnify and praise the Lord;um um and 47 my heart rejoices in God my Savior, 48 because he has shown his concern for his humble servant girl.um um From now on, all people will say that I am blessed, Oh Lordy And verse 49 says because the Powerful One has done great things for me.His name is holy. 50 God will show his mercy forever and ever to those who worship and serve him 51 He has done mighty deeds by his power.He has scattered the people who are proud and think great things about themselves.52 He has brought down rulers from their thrones and raised up the humble.53 He has filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away with nothing.54 He has helped his servant, the people of Israel, remembering to show them mercy 55  as he promised to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his children forever.” and the bible says in verse 56 Mary stayed with Elizabeth for about three months and then returned home.

Call His Name Jesus yes because I don’t know how you feel about it but the More I call Him the better I feel. Oh Lord and Isaiah said His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace. um um um yes

Call His Name Jesus Because He is my Rock in a wearied land , my shelter in the time of the storm, my bridge over troubled waters, Great God yes

Call His Name Jesus because He’s the Lilly of the Valley, the Bright a Morning Star, and the Rose of Sharon, yes

Call His name Jesus because He’s Alpha then He’s Omega

He’s the Beginning and then He’s the Ending Oh Yes

He is And He’s my Burden Bearer and my Heavy Load carrier

Call His name Jesus Yes Sir Because He’s a Doctor! in the sick room today Oh lord

Call His Name Jesus because He’s from Everlasting to Everlasting He is the Lord. He’s the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords Yes indeed and

Call His Name Jesus because He is the King of Glory ah ye He is.

Call His Name Jesus because there’s no other Name under the heavens whereby men must be saved but the name of Jesus.

Call on Jesus because He Saved my soul made me whole, He picked me up, and turn me around put my feet on solid ground. He been good to me.

Have He been good to you? Have He really been Good? If the Lord’s been good to you Say Yeah Say Yeah Say Yeah

Yes Sir.
