Characteristics of an Alpha Man

God made man---In our society we brag about being a self-made man. Let me share with you that it is better to be a God made man. Why? When you are self-made:

made in the image of man. We have some individual that we are trying to immulate. “Be like Mike.” or “Be like someone famous.”

Adam in contrast to a self-made man was unique. There was no pattern to follow. Psalms 139:14 “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Marvellous are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well.”

formed by God—designed with a purpose—Each Alpha man has a divine purpose in life and in the frat.

Man of Humility---

Made from dust but not dirty.---The first Alpha man had a mind like God. (I attended UAPB graduation for my grandson. When the Greeks were performing afterward, the KAPPA’s show was so filty that I was ashamed for them.) Alpha’s should never try to perform so that the family would have to turn away.)

MAN---The first Alpha was a man. That means he had maturity about him. As we seek to increase our numbers, we want to make sure we are bring in men, especially in a grad chapter. Alphadom is not a place for boys but men. (When we pledged, we were told that stages to an Alpha man was sphnix, mystical man, Ape not quite a man and Alpha a distinquished man.)

Intelligent—(scholarship)Had the ability to name every animal in the world. “Whatever Adam called them was their name. vs.20
