Confession of Faith

I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith! In Jesus Name

Intro:
God’s Grace is an amazing gift from our creator! His Grace is the un merited gift of his favor to you and me! Grace is the gift of salvation for the sinner! Grace is God moving us from death to eternal life!
2 Peter 1:2–3 NCV
2 Grace and peace be given to you more and more, because you truly know God and Jesus our Lord. 3 Jesus has the power of God, by which he has given us everything we need to live and to serve God. We have these things because we know him. Jesus called us by his glory and goodness.
Sometimes we need God’s Grace and favor to show up in specific situations and specific times in our lives!
Ruth needed God’s Grace when she started out to find food for her and Naomi! Ruth need that favor from God to given to her even though she didn’t deserve it and she couldn’t earn it.
It seems like such a simple thing , she was just going out to get some food to eat, but you must remember, during those days, she is a woman, Ruth is poor, Ruth is a widow, and Ruth is a foreigner! She was at the lowest rung of the social ladder. Sometimes when society looks at you as the lowest rung on the ladder - that’s when we need the grace of God for simple things! Those who know - know!
Remember Ruth had committed her life to God! And God had been working on her behalf from that moment!
God was moving events that would change her life forever, that would create a relationship with someone to meet her every need.
And God used a man of God named Boaz for his channel of grace and favor towards Ruth!
It’s the Spirit Of Boaz that excites me!!!! Say Boaz Spirit!!!
Today we need that Boaz spirit in our life! Each of need in our lives, Men and women of God that can be used to demonstrate the grace and favor of God! Each of need to make ourselves available to be that Boaz spirit in someone else’s life!
We need some good people living in these bad times!
Today, we need men and women with that Boaz spirit who know the Lord and seek to obey His will.
Boaz was concerned about his employees and wanted them to enjoy the blessing of the Lord
Ruth 2:4 NLT
4 While she was there, Boaz arrived from Bethlehem and greeted the harvesters. “The Lord be with you!” he said. “The Lord bless you!” the harvesters replied.
God is working things out!
Look at God!
God led Ruth to the field of Boaz and then led Boaz to visit his field while Ruth was there.
When we commit our lives to the Lord, what happens to us happens by way of appointment and not by accident. Ruth was still a poor widow and an alien, but God was about to create a new relationship that would completely alter her circumstances.
Now, there are many sermons preached and taught about Boaz as a picture of Jesus Christ! But, I think the application today is that God expects each of us who are committed to Him to treat those who are in need the Boaz treated Ruth
God expects each of us to provide a way for those who are lost, who are bankrupt, who have no claim to the mercy of God, who are in sin, and who are broken to enter into intimate relationship with him through Jesus Christ!
We all must pray for that Boaz Spirit!!!
Ephesians 2:10–11 NKJV
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. 11 Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands—
Ephesians 2:12–22 NLT
12 In those days you were living apart from Christ. You were excluded from citizenship among the people of Israel, and you did not know the covenant promises God had made to them. You lived in this world without God and without hope. 13 But now you have been united with Christ Jesus. Once you were far away from God, but now you have been brought near to him through the blood of Christ. 14 For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us. 15 He did this by ending the system of law with its commandments and regulations. He made peace between Jews and Gentiles by creating in himself one new people from the two groups. 16 Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death. 17 He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from him, and peace to the Jews who were near. 18 Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us. 19 So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. 20 Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. 21 We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord. 22 Through him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit.
Boaz saw Ruth working in his fields.
God sees us and knows exactly where we are and what our needs are. Nothing is hid from God. He sees every need we have Ruth 2:5
Ruth 2:5 NLT
5 Then Boaz asked his foreman, “Who is that young woman over there? Who does she belong to?”
Ruth 2:6–8 NLT
6 And the foreman replied, “She is the young woman from Moab who came back with Naomi. 7 She asked me this morning if she could gather grain behind the harvesters. She has been hard at work ever since, except for a few minutes’ rest in the shelter.” 8 Boaz went over and said to Ruth, “Listen, my daughter. Stay right here with us when you gather grain; don’t go to any other fields. Stay right behind the young women working in my field.
Now it make sense when Matthew records in
Matthew 6:8 (NLT)
8 … for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!
Psalm 34:15 NKJV
15 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.
Watch the Grace of God! The Favor Of God In Action
Boaz took the initiative and went over to Ruth!
Boaz took the initiative to speak to Ruth, seeking to help her.
God always makes the first move!
1 John 4:19 NKJV
19 We love Him because He first loved us.
So the Lord has always taken the initiative in seeking to help us when we are in need!
Pick up your bible! God is talking to you and me in his word! Pick up your bible! He is telling us about his promises after promises! Pick up your bible God is telling us how he can meet our needs!
God is always talking to us!-
God he even revealed himself to us in Jesus Christ
John 10:10 NKJV
10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 11:25 NKJV
25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
John 14:16 NKJV
16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—
John 14:6 NKJV
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
God is talking to you and me this very moment! Just like Boaz took the initiative to speak to Ruth!
Ruth was on his property! Ruth was taking his food! Ruth was in need, Ruth was the outsider, But Boaz took the initiative and spoke to Ruth!
Today, God is taking the initiative to talk to us through his son Jesus Christ, through his Holy Word , through the Holy Spirit and through men and women of God!
He wants you to know, that he is aware of your need and he see’s where your at and I believe he’s sending someone with that Boaz Spirit in your life!
