The Birth of Jesus
the greatest birth announcement of all time
The miraculous virgin birth was just as amazing then as it was back then.
It took a lot of faith then just as it takes faith now to believe in the miraculous birth of the Christ child.
I think we may tend to take for grant it just how miraculous the birth of Jesus was.
Even Mary the mother of Jesus lacked faith at first,
upon hearing the words of the angel Gabriel which told her that she would bear a son before she got married.
Mary being a virtuous and upright young lady wondered how it would be possible for her to have a baby before she was married.
so she did lack faith about how all this could happen.
hear her own words:
so even Mary doubted but then she very quickly came around to believing this incredible announcement, which we see in Luke 1:38
where she said ,
that she would bear a child before she was ever married and this would be not just any child but ....
Miraculous birth
first time this happened, or ever will happen again
This is just not a mere sentimental good old feel good story no this story was real and what you do with his eternal consequences on your soul where you will live forever:
....
I want to make this truth plain:
It is not about what we do its what Jesus did for us;
You could never be good enough
He was born to die died in your placve to pay for your and myy sins;
so its not i got some major cleaning up with my life i must do before i die so God will accept me..you could never do enough good its all about what he did for you on your account ,,,,its God the Father's acceptance of Jesus sacrifice fr you that causes God to no longer look on you with wrath but with forgiveness
you are declared right before God b/c of what Jesus did for you
declaration based on his righteous his Jesus sacrifice for your sins..that is how it is is possible its the only way (that a virgin birth , never sinned, son of God would give his life as a ransom for you and me, to buy our pardon.
vs 14 is very key
notice that last phrase, “on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased”
