Daniel and Revelation

“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”5 And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 6 And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. 7 The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son. 8 But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” Revelation 21

Revelation 21 is such a powerful chapter. The second to last chapter of the Bible gives us so much hope. This is a faith building chapter of the Bible. Notice how John sees a new creation and not only a new creation but also a sin free world. Does not get you excited that one day that all things are new. “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 6 And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.” God showing that he could have always restored humanity but things need to be done before that happens. Jesus came at the fullness of time how much closer to the end are we?

The apocalypse has always been a favorite topic of the world with zombies and nuclear warfare but we have the greatest play book about the things that will take place. There is a comfort in Christ even during a such as these. As Christian let us conquer. Let us work diligently as one who has faith in Christ. Those with sin will not inherit the Kingdom of God. God wishes to be with his people he always has been wanting people to come back to him but yet look at the world. All we see is pride so much many have began to identify with their own pride. Do these unrighteous people have no shame for the things they have done? Is there no holy repentance which will lead to salvation? These people have a fate not a hope. How many people do we see a day personally I am at home a lot so I do not see non Christians some days. Let me encourage you with this, evangelism might not be your “calling”. They too have a destiny one that end in death.

“The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. 11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12 waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn! 13 But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. “2 Pe 3:9–13.”

Peter also had this revelation. As Christians we have the greatest hope in the whole world. A new everything but what is the inheritance for the sinner is. Death is their potions. Let us acts like the sons of God we are and should be. Let us spread the gospel to world so that none will have to suffer without Christ. I will not say about the people God has used to say but rather I want you to take a look at your friends and family think about your unsaved loved ones. The way a husband people about your wife. Would you not jump into certain death to save them? Let our certain death be everyday as we die to ourselves. The love you feel for your wife is the same way Christ feels for the unsaved.
