Celebration Stories

Key Points: JOY!

Turn to Luke 1 today and put your finger there
Then turn to 1 Peter 1:7-9
1 Peter 1:7–9 TPT
7 But these only reveal the sterling core of your faith, which is far more valuable than gold that perishes, for even gold is refined by fire. Your authentic faith will result in even more praise, glory, and honor when Jesus the Anointed One is revealed. 8 You love him passionately although you did not see him, but through believing in him you are saturated with an ecstatic joy, indescribably sublime and immersed in glory. 9 For you are reaping the harvest of your faith—the full salvation promised you—your souls’ victory!
1 Peter 1:7–9 ESV
7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith—more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire—may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 8 Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, 9 obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
1 Peter 1:7–9 (KJV 1900)
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: 8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: 9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
Hymn: Joy Unspeakable
1900 Barney Elliott Warren, an American Christian hymnwriter and minister.
1 I have found His grace is all complete; He supplieth every need. While I sit and learn at Jesus’ feet, I am free, yes, free indeed.
Refrain: It is joy unspeakable and full of glory, Full of glory, full of glory. It is joy unspeakable and full of glory; O the half has never yet been told!
2 I have found the pleasure I once craved; It is joy and peace within. What a wondrous blessing! I am saved From the awful gulf of sin. [Refrain]
3 I have found that hope so bright and clear, Living in the realm of grace. O the Savior’s presence is so near; I can see His smiling face. [Refrain]
4 I have found the joy no tongue can tell, How its waves of glory roll! It is like a great o’er flowing well, Springing up within my soul. [Refrain] Source: The Celebration Hymnal: songs and hymns for worship #740
